I booked in this Hostel in Dublin cause it was in the center of the city. I made the reservation online on Expedia.com for a private dorm for my friends and I. When I checked in, the receptionnist (Lucas) was really friendly but he did not inform us that they had to change the type of the room due to... More

I arrived at this hostel excited for my couple of nights stay in dublin. I arrived rather jetlagged and once I was aloud to go to my dorm I went straight to sleep. After an hour I was woken by a man you claimed I was in his bed and went to sort the situation out at reception. 10 mins... More

Hi there, Thank you for the review. We feel our breakfast is adequate as it is free of charge and you can have as much as you like. We provide tea, coffee, brown and white toast, a choice of cereals, fruit and sausage rolls. We are glad you enjoyed your stay however and hope to see you again soon! Yvonne More

Stayed in Abbey Court for a girly weekend away. We shared a 6-bed female dorm which was fully booked on the first night. Beds were comfy, it was clean and although the road was noisy we slept straight through. Didn't try the breakfast as unfortunately finished at an early 9.30am but the hostel is only minutes away from great bars,... More

I had a nice time there and met good people. The staffs were friendly and helpful. The minuses were the bugs in my bed and a mentally weird person sleeping in the room... It would be good to change matresses. The breakfast was ok but fair for the price of the night. Very close by Temple bar :)

Hi there, Thank you for the review. Please can you email yvonne@abbey-court.com and tell me the exact room and bed number you stayed in. Should there be bugs in a room we take this very seriously and exercise all precautions to ensure they are removed. At this time of year with the temperature there can be some flies around (different... More

Just back from an overnight stay in the Abbey Court Hostel. I have to be honest I was at first apprehensive about staying in a hostel, something which I have not done before...but I was pleasantly surprised. We have 2 private double rooms booked. The rooms were clean, quiet, good ventilation. There was towels sitting on the bed waiting for... More

We booked a 4-room dorm for our family group of 3 adults and it worked out nicely. Room size and bathroom size was what one would expect at a hostel. Beds were fine and the room was clean. Extra nice was the large window (opened and closed easily), view of Bachelor's Way and the river, and the central location. We... More

Small rooms, poorly equipped bathrooms, squeaking beds. The responsible enter our room at 3:30 a.m. to reprimand us instead knock the door. We deserve it, but it´s scary when you hear someone entering your room.

Hi there, apologies about this - we are speaking to all night-porters about entering rooms without knocking. Generally they will all knock before entering but perhaps their first knocks were not heard. Our bathrooms are in the process of being renovated and if you see our facebook page a picture of some of the new ones will be uploaded shortly.... More

Stayed in a 12 bed dorm- smaller than some 6 bed dorms we have stayed in! The room was small and narrow with beds along both sides- you are literally about 30cm from 1 persons feet at one end and 30cm from their head on the other side! Our room had an ensuite which was quite filthy (covered in mould,... More

Hi there, Thank you for the review. We never usually receive any complaints about the size of our 12 bed dorms - in most hostels you will find that all the beds are relatively close to eachother. Our bathrooms are frequently cleaned and there are regular checks done - if they are unclean we would encourage and hope guests would... More

We turned up with no booking and they fitted us in, very cheap prices per night! Loads of facilities, great vibe around the hostel! Very helpful girl at desk. Rooms get a bit stuffy but in summer that's expected! Stayed in 24 bed dorm and still got great nights sleep! Definitely worth it!
