Hello Fellow Hostelers I landed at Abbey Court on my first day in Dublin. My experience started there with a warm welcome from LUCAS...he is Amazing...I had the best time meeting people, the place has a family atmosphere even the staff are down to earth. Lucas always the professional...ran the pub crawls, made everything easy and FUN, He is helpful... More

Stayed in 20 dorm female room (had to stay quite and was difficult coming back late at night with no light); they reserve beds, so no need to claim one; useful cage/locker underneath the bed (need own lock though). Walkable distance from main attractions. Free breakfast was poor; don't bother eating, simply get breakfast outside. Shuttle bus to airport was... More

Hi there, Thanks for the review! Our breakfast is free and includes a choice of cereal, toast - both brown and white, fruit and sausage rolls and of course tea and coffee. We feel it is very good seeing as it is free. Our wifi gets slightly slower when we are very busy like when you were here. Kind Regards,... More

The facilities (showers and toilets) were kept clean, and the beds were reasonably comfortable. The location is the main selling point of the hostel, but the staff were also really friendly and helpful. I would strongly suggest taking a padlock for the under the bed storage, otherwise it isn't secure!

So I stayed here in September 2014, the location was great but not the cleanest place I stayed...There was a spider in my bed the first day and although it was small it still wasn't very welcoming! I stayed in a 4 bed one night and an 8 bed the next 2 nights. I strangely liked the 8 bed better... More

We was greeted by a very cool guy who was amazingly friendly and made us feel very welcome! The rooms were standard and did the job for the few days we were there! The internet rooms and kitchens were good for backpackers and those on their travels! Abbey court is right in the centre and its easy to get everywhere... More

This hostel is just what I say in the title. 'Just a bed'. Very good location that suits this but I do not have much else to say about it. It is cramped and not very attractive. It feels like just a money making machine with very little soul. Staff were friendly though. Won't be staying here again.

Hi there, We are sorry you feel this way. What was it exactly you didn't like? We feel we are very spacious and not cramped at all. We are a large hostel with a lot of common areas like a games room cinema room, bar, hammock room, computer room, kitchen and tv room. We also offer a free breakfast and... More

I stayed here in November 2013 (it's only taken me a year to write the review haha) in a 12 bed female dorm. I was super nervous as it was the first time I'd been abroad alone and also the first time I'd ever stayed in a shared dorm. I left a very happy girl! I've met people who are... More

Superbly located and attractive from the outside - however the interiors as cramped and dark. The rooms are cramped and my sheets were itchy!!! On requesting them to change the sheets I was told that no one complains about this usually, and was turned away!

Hi there, I am sorry you were unhappy with your stay. It is not the usual behaviour of our staff to turn away unhappy guests. We would have happily changed your room or your sheets. Our walls are brightly painted on the inside and we fully utilise the light when possible. Many thanks, Yvonne More

I stayed for 5 nights in a 10 bed female dorm. The dorm itself was quite small. If you can't fit your bag in the lockers under the bed (I couldn't fit a 65l back pack) then you might struggle to put it somewhere. One roommate complained about condensation through the walls, and id agree that it felt quite damp... More

Hey there, Many thanks for your review. We have a lot of extra extra showers on the second and third floors. We have not had any complaints about damp in the room but we have looked into this and are taking necessary precautions to ensure this is not a problem. We are currently extending our breakfast and kitchen area to... More

Stayed in 1 of the apartments and it was really nice. Plenty of space, comfortable bed and everything you would need - loads towels, toaster, fridge etc etc. Lovely courtyard serving the apartments with seats and a fountain. Breakfast included in the price - taken in the main hostel - toast butter and jam. Cereals. Fresh fruit and sausage rolls... More
