Good points - Spotlessly clean, comfy bed and some (but not all) friendly staff. Bad points - Microscopically thin pillows, damaged toilet seat, broken soap holder in shower, damaged bathroom mirror, broken bedroom window, no safe in room, old and worn out door lock, not a single fire escape apart from the door you use to enter the building. Two... More

The hotel is very basic so if you just want a place to sleep at night then it could be ideal as the location is brilliant as it is central. However if you're looking for "something special" then this hotel is probably not for you. The rooms are really small, plus if you have suitcases it makes the room even... More

It's gross. Every time you flush the toilet it screeches for about 2 minutes. Shower is the width of one human, you can hardly turn around. Location is ok, good for the airport bus. Wifi is there but pretty slow. Our biggest problem was that we had to drop the key at the front and there was never any confirmation... More

The place is okay, my boyfriend and I had a room with 3 beds which wasn't very romantic but the bed was quiite comfortable and the room was very warm. The staff weren't extremely friendly but did their job. What I liked the most was the location and the breakfast, they had a menu so you could choose what kind... More

My first visit to this establishment. Easy to find and within reasonable walking distance of the airport bus and O'Connell Street. The staff were helpful and friendly. The room was of good size with high ceilings due to the age of the building, but the main problem was the heating which was initially not on making the room very cold... More

Stayed at the Glen Guesthouse for 3 nights in early December 2014 and all I can say is, it's everything it says on the tin - BASIC!!! The staff were friendly enough but if you had any questions, I wouldn't advise asking them, as most were fairly clueless. The heating was always up to full pelt so the rooms get... More

Nia and I stayed at the Glen for 3 days in April 2015. We were warmly welcomed by Goran who was tolerant and patient with us being 'typical tourists'. We stayed in room number 10 which was large, with a large window as well and a bathroom ensuite. The room was clean and extremely quiet! We enjoyed staying there. Nia... More

As a solo traveller heavily dependent on public transport, I was searching for the best location of b&b. Glen Guesthouse has a superb location: all the must-sees are within walking distance, Hop-On Hop-Off bus starts its route on O'Connell's street which is just 2 mins away. By the way, you can purchase 2-Day Hop-On Hop-Off bus tour tickets at the... More

We arrived at the Glen Guesthouse looking forward for a nice stay. The lady who welcomed us was not very interested in showing any kind of kindness. we then had to walk a long hallway to the building behind the main entrance which gave us an immediate headache. The smell of propaine was so strong it was barely standable. We... More

We arrived at this hotel late at night and were greeted by a member of staff. The room was basic but satisfactory as expected. The next day we woke up to NO water... Not even to flush the toilet! We phoned down to reception and they informed us that works down the road had cut off the supply and responded... More
