Extremely basic, in urgent need of upgrading. Mould on the walls. Tiny bathroom with a mouldy shower cubicle and toilet, sink unit was in the bedroom with doors hanging off. Dirty windows in our room were opening to the courtyard at the back, poor ventilation. Tiny old fashioned tv and you need to pay £5 deposit for the remote control.... More

Stayed here in August for two nights. We had booked through booking.com and the pictures seemed fine and the reviews seemed OK other than a few minor niggles. I'll start with the good points - the hotel is in a good location, two streets away from O'Connell Street, and the Airlink 747 bus stops right outside in both directions. The... More

Rooms can be very different. Was first place we were in was Room 17 (it was so bad I remembered the number). The twin bed was against a wall on one side so one person had to shift over to get in bed,. The room was tiny and there were cobwebs on the ceiling. We found a black capsule on... More

This hotel has the advantages of being close-ish to the city centre and being relatively clean. However we were unfortunate enough to have a room on the top floor that faced onto the street, which meant (1) lots of road noise, the window let a lot of sound through even when closed (2) very patchy wifi - good enough to... The hotel was in a great location with a lot of great restaurants and pubs around. Lots to see and do in the city and the Hazelbrook is right in the middle of it all. Friendly and helpful staff and the room was excellent and very affordable.

Stayed at the Hazelbrook House for about a week at the end of July with my mother. We had a single room with a toilet and a shower. The experience was pretty much what I expected. The room was tiny but okay, the bathroom was pretty modern, though the shower leaked a bit. Our window was into the backyard so... More

Positives: 1. The one female staff member as I was checking out of the hotel was extremely helpful and kind. 2. It was within walking distance of transit. As it seems to be on hostel road, it was convenient to meet up with other friends that had been staying at nearby hotels (we flew in for an event). Negatives: 1.... More

We stated one night because it was all that was available . We walked 11 staircases with no help with luggage. The fire alarm went off during the night with no exclamation from staff. The staff was very uninformative and could of been friendlier. No breakfast I would only recommend as a last resort.

The room was clean, the bed was comfortable. Location is fine, though our room was quite noisy because the window was facing the busy road. When keeping the window closed to keep noise outside, temperatures got quite high. Great downside: don't expect any service. We stayed for 2 nights, and saw 4 different people behind the reception desk, who weren't... More

Before booking here, please be warned - the rooms look NOTHING like the images on here. They are no where near as nice or as big. Check in is extremely late (2pm) and even when we came to check in at 2.30pm, they didn't have a room ready for us until 3pm. The room itself was absolutely boiling, no window,... More
