Great location, 2min walk from luas. Supermarket next door for all the basics. Reception staff were lovely and friendly and very helpful as regards ordering taxi etc. Room were spacious and comfortable if very basic. We did not eat dinner at the hotel restaurant as choices were not to our liking - very limited. Much better food for better value... More

I stayed at Maldron Hotel Smithfield for 5 days during August with my husband. We had a standard double room in the first floor. The room was very spacious with a large double bed. We had a window towards the street and you could hear some noise from outside, althought it didn't really bother our sleep. Also our room was... More

At first of all I wasn't sure of this hotel. It looks modern and is in a central location. Smithfield has been relatively recently redeveloped so the hotel is in an American style complex of apartments and restaurants. There is a supermarket downstairs so you can buy any supplies you need, though there is a restaurant in the hotel. The... More

Booked this hotel an hour before arriving due to location - we wanted a place close to the city, Guinness and Phoenix park. It's newish but basic. Good value for the price and it met our needs for one night. Found a good restaurant nearby Seven Social so ate out. Smithfield isn't the nicest of suburbs, bit rough in parts... More

This is one of those new hotels that will benefit the clever traveller with the price lower than most because of its location but it is serviced by the Luas which you can walk to in 2mins, if you are travelling by rail into Heuston it is a 10min walk across the bridge past the Ashley Hotel and head straight... The room was spacious and clean, and the bed was confortable. There isn't much to do at night around the neighbourhood so it was pretty quiet but it also means it is pretty far from the centre though the Luas is just down the street. Great hotel for a good night sleep !

The hotel is quite centrally located, although there is a 15 min walk to the city centre. However, if one opts for the Luas, the hotel is great as the Luas passes in front of the hotel, which makes it easier to reach certain locations. The hotel is clean, staff is polite and helpful, and breakfast is good. The only... More

Nice hotel not far from the Luis, Jameson's Guinness's and Temple Bar. I would prefer to be closer to the centre but at the right price would stay again. have stayed in this area before. hotel was clean and tidy. can not remember her name but one of the reception staff was very helpful, he couldn't do enough for you.

Currently staying here. Quite enjoyable. Best towels of any hotel in this price range I have ever stayed at. WiFi is plenty fast, and full Irish breakfast is worth the 10 euros. Just wish the pillows were better. Two of them equal one good one. Ask for a room that doesn't face onto Smithfield. There is a hostel across the... More
