To start wit the positive part, the hotel is well situated towards the city center, it is clean, good beds and for it's location very reasonably prized. There is some overdue maintenance - paint off the floor before the window and panels missing in the closet. Not very disturbing though. Worse was however the temperature in the room! It was... More

Hotel opposite Jameson tourist attraction. About 5 minutes to the Luas tram line, and about 25 minutes walk to O'Connell Bridge. Checkin was quick and efficient, multi-lingual staff. I felt that I was fobbed off with a room for a disabled person, even though I had booked a double room months in advance (at the last minute my wife was... More

Hotel is opposite of Jameson distillery. In walking distance to citiy centre and Guiness brewery. Clean and spacious rooms, generally in a good shape (not everything is top - but ok). Breakfast not a huge choice, but ok. Friendly staff.

Visited here in 2009 and chose to stay here again when visited recently for a combined work/wedding anniversary weekend. All the things which were good first time were the same for this time around. The hotel is well situated (out of the city centre, but 3-4 minutes walk from a tram stop and 3-4 mins walk from an airport bus... More

We booked this hotel based on the great reviews and we certainly weren't disappointed. Although out of the main hustle and bustle of the city it's located right on the Luas line and bus routes which makes it a perfect location for getting around Dublin. I'd asked for a balcony room and we were given one - in fact, we'd... More

Lovely place to stay just slightly out of the main hustle and bustle but close to the Guinness factory and taxis have excellent service in Dublin. However we walked most places by foot as we were only staying for the night. Room was spacious and views weren't great too. Clean and tidy. Reception staff were also very helpful good stay... More

I highly recommend the Maldron Smithfield hotel to all who want to have an excellent stay in Dublin. The room was clean, spacious with a huge balcony overlooking the “big square”. The bathrooms were sparkling clean. The stuff was helpful and polite. Location of the hotel was perfect – there is a nice grocery store next to hotel, perfect for... More

I was attending Paul Weller concert in Dublin and needed somewhere cheap for one night, though I wanted it to be clean. I've stayed before in Dublin and it can be expensive for what you get. A friend recommended Maldron hotels, and this was the closest to concert venue. The hotel was pretty easy to find. I came by train... More

Forgot to review this hotel, I travel alot and didnt get around to it. The hotel is in a good location, but has the feel of a bed and breakfast, the foyer and bar areas are very small and is not an appealing place to site around in, the rooms are hot and stuffy due to excessive solar gain and...
