Our room at O'Donoghue's was your basic hotel room. It was clean and the location is amazing, right around the corner from St. Stephen's Green and Grafton Street. The only drawback to the room was that it was extremely noisy at night with the pub downstairs (especially on Saturday, not too bad on Sunday). It would have been fine except... more

I have visited Dublin over 15 times in recent years, and this was certainly one of my better experiences, I was looking for something close to TCD as i was visiting the university every day . O'Donoghue's was close and certainly reasonably priced. I stayed on top floor , so noise was no problem especially since my granddaughter and I... more

This is a fun place to stay. luckily, I was on the 4th florr, so I didn't have any of the noise issues of the previous reviwer. The room was clean and large, and the pub downstairs is a lot of fun, with music playing from 9:30 to about 12. The staff wasn't overly friendly or available, but they let... more

I can't believe I'm the only one who had a bad experience at O'Donoghue's. I'll preface my review by saying the room itself was no problem at all. It was clean, had a small fridge and plenty of storage, and the hotel is located in a very convenient part of town. But if you want a place to actually *sleep*,... more

Stayed 2 nights here last week - I was alone, but in a room with a double and single bed, so had plenty of space. Found the room to be clean and comfortable, the bathroom was also clean if small. Tea and coffee making facilities in the room as well as a fridge. Check in takes place in the pub... more

The rooms were very expansive (110€/room). In fact the rooms for two were OK for three because there is a double bed and a single bed in each. Noisy because Merrion Row has a lot of traffic early in the morning. Bathroom old looking, hair dryer broken. Beds OK Situation great for tourism and vvisiting Dublin downtown more

O'Donoghue's was great!! If you are looking for a traditional hotel, this is not your place, but if you want someplace clean, friendly, in a great location, and for a great price, this is it. The pub downstairs is a locals' favorite with music playing almost every night and Guinness flowing by the truckload. They rent a handful of rooms... more

Donovans was great although the music was better in Gogartys I thought. The room was nice and a lovely ensuite with a great shower. We only stayed one night but it was good. We didn't have breakfast. I think it was good value and nice and clean. more

Last minute booking and had to take a triple room & double for the four of us on a one-night break. Pretty handy location within walking distance of Temple Bar and beyond. However, we took a taxi from Connolly Street station from the DART as we were struggling for time due to a late arrival. No problem booking in and... more

I have visted this pub many times before on visits to Dublin and have always had great fun. On this occasion in the city I needed somewhere to stay and decided to try out the rooms they have over the pub. The rooms are really lovely and clean and smelt really fresh, I would say the rooms have been recently... more
