My party of six adults all aged 40's and over, arrived in this wonderful hostelry in Ireland's capital last Sunday for a 2 night birthday treat visit to the capital. We are big fans of the Dubliners, particularly the originals, Ronnie, Luke, Barney, John etc. We were very excited and were greeted with a real Dublin welcome from Patrick 'darling'... More

Spent 3 nights very central for Shopping Centre, Grafton Street,Natural History Museum and the Art Gallery. Clean room with comfortable bed. En suite bit old fashioned but this is an old building with character. Pub downstairs lively in the evening and other good pubs close by. Would definitely stay here again. So much go do and see in Dublin. Don't... More

Nearby St Stephen's Green as I wouldn't stay anywhere else in Dublin. Adore the area. The price was great and we were only down the road from the actual Green. Amazing value. Comfortable room that provided a good night's sleep. The bar was lovely and the staff very friendly and helpful. This area is beautiful especially around Christmas. Would stay... More

We popped in for a quick Guinness, it soon became apparent that we could easily stay for quite a while, although it was quite expensive (€12 for 1 Guinness & 1 Baccardi and Coke!) We stopped in as we were passing, early Friday evening and place was already very busy, with a great friendly relaxed atmosphere.

What a perfect place to stay in the city of Dublin during Christmastime. Just couldn't beat the room over the pub--it was exactly what we were looking for. Room was huge, clean and easily accessible. The bar was just as described on its website--busy and buzzing with locals and visitors alike. Oliver went above and beyond in assuring that we... More

The staff are great and very friendly..I felt very at home and comfortable here. Fanatastic music scene. Only downside I can see for others is it is very loud at night as it is a very popular place..but honestly I wouldnt recommend staying here if your looking to stay in your room on a saturday night and sleep.

Far from temple bar, relatively speaking, this is a true neighborhood spot. perfect for a relaxing pint after a long day of sightseeing or chatting it up to find the best meal in town. They prepour the Guinness half way so you can get it right away and served a few dozen in the hour we enjoyed at the bar.... More

If you are looking for that authentic Dublin experience, look no further for your accommodations and pub to hang out at. However, your expectations must be in check to stay here. When the check in desk is the bartender at the pub downstairs, you can't expect to have room service or anything amenities-wise. It is what it states..a guest house... More

We were recommended to visit this famous pub as we love atmospheric and character in a pub. Very well known as a hangout for local musicians who sit around and play together over a pint. you can taste the character and it oozes history. Also without a doubt the best pint of Guinness in Dublin and the guys behind the... More
