Massive place, really quirky. We really enjoyed the live music, and there was a great atmosphere, the only issue is that there isn't much space to sit or stand to listen to the music. Other than that we thoroughly enjoyed it and would probably go there again.

Just arrived from the airport. A warm welcome from Shawn and a very relaxed athmosphere. Lovely room, not perfect but therefore perfect! A beautiful pub and a cosy terrace in the alley. The environment is great. And Tripadvisor is very helpful of course in finding places.

I've been there long time ago and 2 weeks ago I went again. The spirit it's just the same, you can drink chatting with people never met that start talking with you as a friend, even better if you are a stranger. !!

The novelty of the place is that it is just above a pub by the same name. That's a great convenience! And that its well located very close to Stephen's Green and the central walking areas including Trinity College. The room we got was on a high floor so carrying cases up and down is a challenge through a winding... More

Situated in a traditional pub accommodation with good value for money. Beds really good, otherwise the room old and worn. Bath towels joke, kitchen towel size. The staff so absent and unfriendly......

My wives first pub in Ireland and it was great ,everything she was looking for. Traditional Irish music, good crack, and friendly with a little impromptu singing from some local lads in the back. Look forward to another visit. Thanks for a great time!

Great Celtic jam in the middle of our Sunday with a 10 piece band. Lovely music. Nice brews and good service. Menu was limited to only 3 items (Irish stew, veggie soup, ham and cheese sandwiches). We would definite go back. Lively atmosphere a short walk from st Stephens green

Considering the price and the location, I didn't have high expectations for the room but it was perfectly clean and comfortable. The only downside was the TINY shower. The room was quieter than I expected given the pub downstairs (which is awesome, btw!). Added bonus - you can take your pint up to your room!

Can only speak to the pub (had no idea it was also a hotel. We had great fun drinking and listening to the traditional music. Atmosphere was tremedously friendly, everyone having a great time. Liked it so much we cam back the next night for a nighcap.

Just a quick review this time. The best thing about O' Donoghue's is location. It is close to everywhere, good airport access and in the same time you are in the centre within walking distance to restaurants, pubs and museums. Hotel itself is ok. You get what you pay for. But it is clean and tidy. Towels are changed daily,... More
