I highly recommend this hotel . Ignore some poor reviews here. There are 2 cheap cafes to the left of the front door ( for breakfast etc ) and a 24 hour Internet Cafe opposite to the right. Good bus service in to Dublin city centre . We stayed 3 days Sun-Tues. The staff on the front desk rotated 3... more

Stayed here with my girlfriend when we went to a show in the gaiety theatre. Booked a parking space when we booked the room. Even though the parkig is under the hotel, you to walk all the way around the hotel to get back to the reception. Staff were very nice, but we woundered about the girl at the front... more

I was pleased with my stay for two nights. I booked early and was able to get the room for 29 Euro, which I consider a steal. My room was clean and the bathroom was very clean, and almost seemed like it had been redone within the past few years. The beds were just ok and I found the room... more

This hotel is shabby and tired, corridors and rooms smell of smoke and the rooms and small and grubby. My colleague had a nice illustration of a 'cock' on his wall in biro! To add to this, the hotel is adjacent to a clock tower which chimes right through the night on the hour AND the half hour so you... more

Other reviewers (somehow) say that it's not bad, or you get what you pay for. Trust me on this one: your health and sanity is not worth any price, no matter how small. We booked in advance for something like £40 per night (through Expedia and the hotel did refund our money, to their credit) and we saw two rooms... more

Stayed midweek Tuesday to Friday, for a great price. Although they will provide a continental breakfast for E6.00, don't bother. Rathmines has several cafes and bakeries, not to mention McDonalds and Dominos Pizza! A few minutes walk takes you to a shopping centre which has a Dunnes store for cheap clothing and reasonably priced quality food shopping. There's an Aldi... more

The staff were very helpful and friendly. The hotel is not very far from the city centre certainly within most people's walking distance, but the buses are plentiful too. Although you do need the correct money for them. I would certainly stay there again. more

Stayed here for a weekend away with my girlfriend. I had read the hotel was only a mile away from the city centre but I think it is a bit further than that. However, the bus service is very good in Dublin and there is a bus stop right outside the hotel. It only took 5-10 mins to get into... more

My partner and I had found some great deals for this hotel online and as we had already stayed in Travelodges around Canada, we thought it would be a good bet. Our first impressions were unfortunately so-so; as we arrived at the hotel to check-in, the clerk's welcome was very cold and dismissive, the person rushing through our check-in as... more

Hi there, Thank you for taking the time to write your positive review. They really do cheer us up  I’m delighted we met your standards. I’m sure the member of staff that checked you was having a bad day – usually all the receptionists are fun and friendly. We look forward to seeing you again soon. Kind Regards, Lisa

Looking at some of the other reviews I wondered if I had stayed in the same place! I booked 3 rooms for our family at the Rathmines travelodge. It's easy to get to (bus stop from city centre is right outside the entrance - go for the family rambler ticket; 2 adults + 4 under 16s for 10euros for all... more
