I highly recommend this hotel . Ignore some poor reviews here. There are 2 cheap cafes to the left of the front door ( for breakfast etc ) and a 24 hour Internet Cafe opposite to the right. Stayed here with my girlfriend when we went to a show in the gaiety theatre. Booked a parking space when we booked the room. Even though the parkig is under the hotel, you to walk all the way around the hotel to get back to the reception. Staff were very nice, but we woundered about the girl at the front... more
I was pleased with my stay for two nights. I booked early and was able to get the room for 29 Euro, which I consider a steal. My room was clean and the bathroom was very clean, and almost seemed like it had been redone within the past few years. The beds were just ok and I found the room... more

This hotel is shabby and tired, corridors and rooms smell of smoke and the rooms and small and grubby. My colleague had a nice illustration of a 'cock' on his wall in biro! Other reviewers (somehow) say that it's not bad, or you get what you pay for. Trust me on this one: your health and sanity is not worth any price, no matter how small. Stayed midweek Tuesday to Friday, for a great price. Although they will provide a continental breakfast for E6.00, don't bother. Rathmines has several cafes and bakeries, not to mention McDonalds and Dominos Pizza! The staff were very helpful and friendly. The hotel is not very far from the city centre certainly within most people's walking distance, but the buses are plentiful too. Although you do need the correct money for them. I would certainly stay there again. more

Stayed here for a weekend away with my girlfriend. I had read the hotel was only a mile away from the city centre but I think it is a bit further than that. However, the bus service is very good in Dublin and there is a bus stop right outside the hotel. It only took 5-10 mins to get into... more

Looking at some of the other reviews I wondered if I had stayed in the same place! I booked 3 rooms for our family at the Rathmines travelodge.
