To be fair it is a pretty decent price for being in the city centre but I felt like if we had actually been welcomed a bit I wouldn't have been as bothered about the lumpy bed or the hosepipe shower lol. The guy that welcomed us didn't even say hello just some comment about the door then an awkward... More

If you are visiting Dublin then I would expect that you would not be spending much time in your room. The room I had at Abbott Lodge was ideal and great value. The room was clean and functional although the bathroom could have done with being a bit larger.

Where to begin; very uncomfortable bed, (i'm guessing the mattress was 20 years old), hair dryer broken, remote for TV held together by tape, television was not working, hot water not working properly, toilet came unseated and I nearly fell over mid use (not kidding), several broken bathroom tiles on floor and walls. Room had an overall dirty feel, the... More

We stayed here our first two nights of ten days in Ireland, it was cheap 170 Euro for a Thursday and Friday night. It definitely did not live up to our expectations. There were obvious stains on the bedding, the remote was taped together. The room was quite dated and dusty. We carried around everything of value for fear it... More

I needed a last minute reservation and this one ticked quite a few boxes. Nicely located in the guesthouse hub of Lower Gardiner Street it is not far at all from main shops and o'connell street. It's great for one night stay in Dublin City centre. Bathroom lovely, tiled white and squeaky clean. Shower was a bit tiny so it... More

I booked this place thinking it would be bog standard, it was much worse. Lot of money for what it was, poor service, room was full of mould, curtains was dusty, we were put up in the attic and could barely get out suitcases up there. Plus it was in a dodgy part of town (the walk between here and... More

Stayed here for two nights for my boyfriend's birthday and wasn't disappointed. The 747 airport bus runs every 15minutes and literally drops you off opposite the guest house. Really good location; 5 minute walk from the needle/general post office/high street shops. As it was a special occasion I requested a 'nicer' room if possible... I booked a double room and... More

For a short weekend getaway to Dublin this hotel was excellent. Great location, bus from the airport dropped off was right outside from the hotel. Great pub down the road with live music every night and just a short walk to the city town centre. The receptionist where very friendly, as we arrived before check in they where very kind... More

We stayed there for several nights, and to be honest, I don't understand why some ppl complain about location - It really is great. Value to money ratio is really good. The standard is not high but it's no 5* hotel! The service is very friendly. Also the opinions about the area being bad are exaggerated. I do recommend this... More
