This hotel was cheap and close to the centre, a 15 minute walk to Temple Bar. It was perfect for our needs of a short weekend in Dublin, where we planned not to spend to much time in the room. I wouldn't book this hotel if I planned to spend time in the room.

Stayed here twice. Both times I was pretty satisfied. Cheap and basic but you get what you pay for. Staff were lovely too. Breakfast was nothing special but was a basic breakfast. Was kept clean but very run down and in a good location. Hint: get a room at the back. The guest house is situated on a very busy... More

Only booked here because my preferred hotel was fully booked, I should have just waited... Arrived to the hotel for a 4 night stay to be told "your booked for 3 nights" lucky we printed the conformation that showed 4 nights and that it was paid. Room was small but all you needed was there and I wasn't going to... More

My boyfriend and I stayed here for one night on July 27th. On our way there a cab driver told us that it was a bad area and to watch our bags. That was our first clue. Yes, it's a short walk to centre city but it's a bad area. Upon arrival we were made to pay up front. This... More

This hotel is in a good location and the rooms are about average. There is only bar soap and nothing else, so come with your own bath accessories if you want shampoo, etc. The ceilings are high and there is a big window, so it feels very spacious. Again though, it was just an average room but definitely worth the... More

Stayed here for 2 nights on a whim visit to Dublin. You get what you pay for. Very close to Centre of Dublin - 10 mins walk max. Great hot cooked breakfast, basic rooms and bathroom. I am not fussy as long as it is clean, tea and coffee in room. Spend duration of the time IN THE CITY so... More

Close to an airport bus express route (the 747 bus from the airport stops across the street, the 747 bus to the airport stops 100 meters down the street). Reasonable price, close to a couple of pubs that have live music, a city-block aware from the spire, and friendly staff. Wi-Fi in the rooms is marginal at best, in the... More

Stayed here for one night as we were a day early for the return ferry trip and wanted to be close to the ferry port for the early crossing. Very friendly and helpful reception staff, nothing was too much trouble. As the Abbot Lodge is so close to the centre of Dublin for all the shops, pubs and tourist attractions,... More

I stayed in Abbott Lodge twice. The price was fantastic and the breakfast was delicious. The staff were really friendly and I couldn't praise them more. However, the first time we stayed the window was broken which made me fee unsafe, and there was a coat hanger next to it, which we were supposed to use to keep it open.... More

The service was moderate. But the room was definitely not what I expected. We could not open the window because of disgusting smells from a kitchen nearby und there was a lot of garbage under our window. We booked the hotel for bed and breakfast, but decided to leave out the breakfast. I know it is a matter of taste,... More
