The Lodge itself: The room we stayed in (109) was very small but as we only wanted somewhere to sleep this wasn't a problem. The room had it's own ensuite which again was very clean and had a power shower. There are tea and coffee making facilities and a tv which was nice to come back to before heading out... more

Stayed at the Abbott Lodge for 2 nights early November 2009. My friend and I were very pleased with our choice, we got a really great deal from booking.com of 57euros per night, but I believe the B&B website is a similar price. The B&B is about a 10 minute walk from Busras or O'Connell St, we found it no... more

The reason for my trip to Dublin was to see Fleetwood Mac in concert along with a friend. We needed somewhere central to stay and the Abbott Lodge was perfect at it’s located within reasonable walking distance to the O2 arena. The room was spotless and the staff were friendly. There are internet facilities available for a modest charge so... more

The reason we stayed at the Abbott was because of its close proximity to O'Connell St. and its lower price. We spent time looking at "tripadvisor" and we had read reviews about this place. Most of the reviews about this hotel were positive, but guarded. The pictures on their website show newer furniture and bed covering as well as relatively... more

We very much had an enjoyable stay at this B&B. Rooms were clean, good size. Food in the morning was good. Our most joyful and helpful host Pat Healy did anything necessary to help accommodate us weary travelers, thanks to him we would use their services again! Thanks, Alan&Jessie more

This is a good value and location for Dublin. Street side rooms are noisy. Breakfast was fine. Close to rail and bus connections. Close to Temple Bar and O'Connell st. more

We arrived before our room was ready so we walked around for about 2 hours. When we came back he said it was not ready yet, so we waited in the tv room. The tv did not work. We waited about 30 minutes when I heard a couple come in and ask for a room, the guy at the desk... more

Website makes it look lovely but reality is a run down, dirty guest house in a rather noisy area. Sheets clean but duvet covers had some very strange marks on them. Shower was OK but unless you got the dial exactly right it was either scorching or freezing. Breakfast was average, portions were small and the scrambled egg dry. Noisy... more

We had rented a car at the airport and it was not easy to access the hotel because there were many one way streets and not much parking nearby. The hotel offered us cheap parking in a nearby lot once we actually checked in, which was easy. The reception was fine - there seemed to be lots of instructions to... more
