You get what you pay for.small without any comfort.defect light bulbs,Problem with water in the bathroom.no breakfast, extremly thin walls ,you Hear every noise from next room. But-relatively clean, very cheap, your own bathroom, near to the centre, many nice pubs near the Hotel.more a Hostel than a Hotel.many Young People-perhaps backpackers will be happy here.not for older adults.employees friendly and helpful, all busses very near.... My friend and I were kind of late booking a guesthouse for st.Patricks day, so all we could find was a room in Abbot lodge. It looks nothing like the photos on the website, the room we stayed in was very small, the bathroom wasn't the best or the cleanest (tiles came off the wall). The good thing is, its... More

I stayed for a weekend and had a wonderful time. I was allowed to check in early at no additional cost which was fantastic. I paid for my room cash after giving my booking number and went in my way. As Hotel policy you must leave your key at reception when you go apon your travels so I had engaged... More

My partner and I booked a room at the above guest house to celebrate a birthday within the family. We booked it last minute through booking.com at a very reasonable price. We arrived at the hotel earlier than we were allowed to (being 3pm) and were greeted by a friendly gentleman who allowed us to check a full 6 hours... More

Good hotel if you aren't planning on spending all day there. A LOT of stairs to get to the top floor - especially if you have large bags. Great location but could do with modernising. Reception staff (evening) particularly friendly and chatty.

This hotel is well located but it has small rooms, the building desperately needs restoration, the bed is terrible, the staff weren't friendly and there are better options for a similar price in the region. I'm only giving two stars because of the location.

In the basement, corridors smelt damp but room didn't. Small and basic but low grade quality and needs redecorating and refreshing. Wifi didn't work in basement and even in reception it was soooooo slow. Tired bathroom but decent shower in small cubicle. Basically it 'did the job' for a couple of nights staying here, nothing more. Whole road is made... More

When I arrived I was given a choice. I preferred a large room but had to sacrifice the wifi. Beds very comfortable and large shower in bathroom. Pity there's no wifi in the back rooms on ground floor. I was happy not to have to climb stairs with my bag :)

Could be worse I guess, especially if you book the place first and read the reviews afterwards... I found the room to be clean and plain, bathroom a bit cramped (but also clean) - but who cares really because the hotel is located in O'Connell Street, center of Dublin town! Trinity College is a few minutes walk (home to the... More

Was pleasantly surprised overall when arriving, as it was nicer than what I was imagining based on other reviews. Yes it wasn't perfect, but some cracking wall isn't bothering me. The bed was comfortable and the shower was lovely. However, they seemed to advertise free wifi, but it does reach most of the rooms so that's really a lie. Also,... More
