I booked the Sycamore for a Friday night in October. I confirmed booking with Jan and it was requested to leave check in until 5.15 as there was an appointment commitment on their part. This was no problem as we arrived after that to accommodate the situation. Upon arrival we were welcomed in and brought straight to our room. We... More

We loved to spend our stay in Dublin in Sycamore House. It's a nice, cosy and clean bed and breakfast in a quiet area of the city. Imelda, the host, was extremely kind and helpful. The cleanliness of the house and the room is remarkable. Although the house is not in the city centre, it is perfectly connected to O'Conell... More

Stayed here with a friend for 5 days and loved it. Bus stop very close, 24 hrs supermarket as well. Cose to a beautiful park, quiet enough, great if you have a car and want to go or off Dublin, but we stayed in the city and had no problems getting everywhere in time, nor posted too much when coming... We were 2 couples visiting Dublin from Australia and New Zealand. Jan, the relieving hostess and the owners daughter were both very friendly and helpful. Rooms were small but adequate and suitable only for sleeping in, as apart from sitting on the bed, there was no room for chairs. No lounge offered for guests. Very good breakfast, cooked was on... Quite small but walking distance from city centre. For the breakfast we didn't go for the full Irish however the cereal, toast and soda bread was very good. The bed was two single beds put together which was faintly uncomfortable. Very friendly yorkshire terrier. Very convenient for zoo (which we would definitely recommend). Easy to park. Friendly lady who made... More

My husband and I recently traveled to Dublin on vacation and we booked with Sycamore...I was hesitant to do so based on some reviews, but after staying there I can't believe anyone would have anything negative to say! Imelda was such a warm and welcoming host! We arrived earlier than check in and she let us park the car and... More

my partner and I stayed at Syacmore House to attend a party. We were warmly welcomed by Imelda and shown to our room. the only negative point is the en suite was very small, just enough room to use the toilet or shower. But the room itself was a nice size, and the bed extremely comfortable. At e35 each for... More

We stayed in this B n'B in a weekend in July as we wanted to tour Dublin. Upon arrival, we were greeted warmly and made to feel welcome. We were then shown our room which was no bigger than a matchbox, you had to walk into the tiny bathroom so that you could close the door of the room. The... More

We've just been guests of the Sycamore house (August 2012) and we felt very "at home". The owner, a very gentle lady, welcome us in a warm way, she gave us support, she left us to leave luggage inside (for our last walk in Dublin) even the day we left, she called us a taxi for the airport, etc... Husband and I stayed at Sycamore House for 4 nights in July, 2012 and it was really was 10/10!! Bus just outside the door, walking distance to all local amenities and a 30 min walk to city! The wonderful hostess - Imelda held all the charm we have heard the Irish are renowned for - and more. Warmth, welcome, wit,... More
