We ended our journey around Ireland with a three night stay at Avoca. We enjoyed our stay tremendously. The neighborhood is quaint and quiet. A 5 minute walk to the bus stop and a 30 minute walk to the city center. We enjoyed walking as a portion of the walk is tree lined and pleasant. Jack and Audrey were fantastic... More

This was a wonderful place to begin and end our trip to Ireland. Jack and Audrey made us feel like family. They helped us with bus plans and other logistics, like calling a cab for us etc. Their home is charming. We even had a game of cards in the parlor one night. AND Audrey knows how to make eggs... I stayed here for a week and it felt like a home away from home. Jack and Audrey are very hospitable and willing to help in any way. I would definitely recommend this BnB. Great location as the bus stop to the city centre is only minutes away.

We only had 3 days to visit Dublin before our bike tour in Croatia. We couldn't have chosen a nicer place. It was a short bus trip to city center. We even walked back in the evenings. Our hosts had us set up before we knew it... they were charming and very helpful in directing us on places to visit... More

Thank you Jack and Audrey for a wonderful welcome to Ireland! We could not have asked for more accommodating and friendly hosts. They made us feel right at home! The rooms are comfortable with everything we needed and the breakfasts were fabulous! The location is in a nice quiet neighborhood with easy access to the bus for a quick ride... More

We were made very welcome at Avoca House. Our flight was really late but our hosts made no fuss about waiting up for us to arrive. The room was comfortable and nicely decorated and the Irish breakfast was delicious - so glad we stayed two nights and got to enjoy it twice! The B&B is about 20 minutes walk from... More

This trip was a while ago now, but staying at Avoca B&B left a lasting impression and I wanted to comment. Dublin was the first stop in Ireland for myself and 2 friends, and we found this place the most hospitable, cosiest, friendliest spot on our whole 2 week Irish round-trip. The accommodation was also comfortable and spacious enough, even... More

The place is quaint, clean and very friendly. Great service, fantastic warm breakfast and lovely company. Audrey and Jack are amazing!! It is midway from airport and downtown. Compared to North American standard, rooms and bathrooms are smaller

Audrey and Jack were fabulous hosts who obviously love running a B&B! We had several great chats with them, and they were very helpful with restaurant suggestions, figuring out the buses or arranging a taxi for us. The rooms were small, but clean. They are located in a residential neighborhood, so it is nice and quiet, but it is a... More

Upon my arrival, and I was a little early, I was greeted by Jack. He invited me in, offered me a cup of tea (wonderful after having spent the past 6 hours in an airplane) and had a wonderful chat. The room was very clean and cozy and exactly what I needed after having been in travel-mode for the past... More
