I stayed in this guest house in September 2013. Good points: Really friendly owners. Great location with a short walk to the centre of the city or use the bus stop just up the road. Easy access to/from the airport using either the AirLink or public bus network. Bad points: If I was to be really picky I would say... More

We arrived the first of September to a warm welcoming smile, The room was clean and the facilities were close and clean too. Just a ten minute hike from the center of O' Connell St, the bus and train station makes this the perfect spot to stay. If you are in town for the wildly popular matches, Croak Park is... More

The owners were unfriendly to the point of rude. The facility was run down and held a musty smell. The windows let in street sound. Breakfast was limited, if you are interested in fresh fruit and yogurt, choose another facility

I got a single room with a seperate toilet/shower room. The room was OK in size. Bed very comfortable, TV did not Work - but who is in town to watch TV :). WIFI in room was on/off and slow. Noice from street, but didn't bothered me. There are not that many pubs near by. 2 minimarts are just around... More

I stayed in the Marian guest house for 4 days and enjoyed the atmosphere and hospitality immensely. After showing up after a 8 hour flight with no accommodation; they gave me easy instructions from the airport, with a bus ride that left me outside the door. This was my first time in Ireland and I'd heard rumors of the famous... More

I stayed there for a total of 4 days in July 2013. Catherine the owner is very nice and accommodating. I can't say the same for her husband -- he's quite loud and rude. Hope that you don't have to deal with him. Other than the husband, my main concern is the area -- it's really dodgy. While close (about... More

A clean and tidy room, comfy bed and friendly helpful hosts - everything you could want from budget accommodation. I particularly appreciated access to a fridge and fresh milk in my tea - thanks Catherine!

If you want to feel welcome in Dublin and get solid value for money, then Marian Guest House is the place to stay. Nothing was too much trouble for the delightful Catherine - provided extra pillows, organised a taxi, recommended a pub, let us use her son's computer and printer when we needed to print some ferry tickets. Sure, the... More
