stayed two nights, had some difficulty finding it as Expedia incorreclty gave the address as 16 Sandyford Road, Dublin 16, which brought me to Sandyford village using SatNav . the rooms were very clean and quite modern, free WiFi access and a nice continental breakfast - staff on reception were friendly and helpful. at £40 per night, great value. more

We stayed here on 30th & 31st May and all I can say is avoid this place at all costs. We were awoken the 1st morning by a dog barking found out later that there was a group of people staying who had dogs entered in a show in the RDS and they were allowed to keep their dogs in... more

My brother and I stayed here for 3 nights...at 1st glance you will think "oh my god- I'm staying at a prison!" , but give it a chance. The exterior of the hotel is a little off-putting to say the least. A sort of cross between a prison and a 70's office block. But once inside things pick up..honest! All... more

OK - I was warned about the longterm roadworks but thought we could navigate around it , unfortunately an hour or more later we were no closer to it so i would suggest ringing ahead. The Residence is very close to Dundrum Centre but you cannot drive back to it the direct route due to roadworks. Other than that ?... more

Had a night in Dublin before going to see friends inland, the residence was great - ideal for the M50, clean and well kept and in a peaceful area. Breakfast was basic but adequate - continental style. Ideal for a stopover in Dublin, and also quite handy for the city, with Luas not far away. more

Prefect for shopping in Dundrum Town Centre which is exactly what we went for. It's about a 15 min walk down to town centre and 20 mins back as its uphill!!! IMI was spotless, shower was powerful and couldn't complain about the breakfast. more

I chose this hotel as I had never been to South Dublin and was pleasantly surprised by its location in peaceful grounds near to Dundrum centre. As it is a conference centre for the Irish Management Institute it is clean, well run and great value for Dublin. Dublin city centre is 40/45 minutes away. 15 minute walk to the Luas... more

Very nice room but WAY too far out if you don't drive. They advertise as being only 15 minutes away from Dublin on public transport (the LUAS electric trams) which is correct, but they don't tell you it takes 20 minutes to walk to the tram and 30 minutes back (as it is uphill). I was told by the receptionist... more

Stayed at IMI Residence for one night in June 2007, was an ideal location as we needed a location convenient for Marlay Park (The Who) that night. Not within walking distance for Marlay Park, but a short tax ride. Hotel rooms very new, nicely decorated and immaculately clean. No bar in hotel but beer/wine can be purchased at reception. Only... more

I have stayed at this hotel three times now, in August 2005, April 2006 and September 2006, and each time I am never short of impressed at the consistently high standards offered by the hotel. It is a nice way out the centre in the middle of a residential area in Dundum, and has very peaceful grounds to walk around... more
