This hotel is awful. I cannot believe it is rated with 4 stars as it is definitely a long way from that standard. The entrance and the surrounding grounds of the hotel are lovely, however the disappointment of the lobby, bars, restaurants and more importantly the rooms was enormous. Totally dated and shabby and I don't think this hotel is... more

Myself and my boyfriend stayed for 5 nights, part of a prize package into the Irish Poker Tournament, Luckly it was paid for because i wouldn't pay a penny to stay here again. I am not at all ungrateful for our trip, whether it was paid for or not by ourselves is not the point, our experience was disappointing. Our... more

We stayed 2 nights 7th & 8th April 2009 & paid $AU 154 per night incl. breakfast. It’s a grand old building & very impressive when you first pull up, Rolls Royce, helicopter etc outside. Our room was on the 3rd floor in the west wing of the building. It took a good 5 minutes to get to our room... more

This is a big old-style conference hotel, a good 20-30 minute's drive outside of Dublin. There's not a whole lot to do nearby, but that was OK. We had a rental car and drove into Dublin several times without any major incident (though judging from the miles of outbound commuter traffic one day, I wouldn't want to get caught in... more

We stayed at the Citywest for 2 nights over Easter school holidays. We were a bit worried by some the the previous reviews, but i have to say we were pleasantly surprised by this hotel. some people have described it as shabby or old fashioned, i would say it was a lovely, traditionally decorated, old country house estate. Hotel rooms... more

Family and I spent two nights here in four rooms over Easter. Very busy hotel and a poker tournament made it even busier. Huge complex and a great place for golfers. Check in a little slow and not the friendliest but then again there were quite a lot of guests checking in. Rooms very big, clean and a little tatty... more

First impressions as you enter the long drive are "wow". The grounds are lovely and there were a couple of helicopters parked up. I thought "this place has got to be really top end". The reception is nice and the front desk staff excellent. In fact, all the staff were great, especially the chap in charge at breakfast time, he... more

Huge hotel, 1500 rooms I think. The room was huge so we could barely see the television from the bed, it was also freezing on arrival. Furniture was very dated. Bed was very comfortable, breakfast delivered to the room was beautiful and staff helpful and friendly. No breafast delivery at weekends. I was trying to sleep in but unfortunately maintenance... more

we all enjoyed our stay at the citywest as part of our trip to Dublin. This Hotel is a large and situated on the outskirts of Dublin, The hotel has good facilities including a decent golf course. The rooms are clean and spaceous and the food is good. (Try the hotel's beef sandwich from the bar - delicious} The staff... more
