I made it to Paddy's Palace first in November 2012, as a solo traveler and remember it as a great place. The atmosphere was always vibrant, and I also made quite some friends there. This is why, I recommended it to my friend when both of us went to Dublin in November 2014. I'd been in a 8-bed dorm before (on... More

Definetely NOT a palace. It smells a bit, is falling apart but it's clean and CHEAP. If you want something nice, go elsewhere! This was totally tolerable for a night, though. For ten euros in Dublin you are unlikely to find better...

Spent 3 nites here recently and found it con ident with great atmosphere in the reception area. The free airport shuttle was a winner because we had an early fight so caught the 4 am shuttle !!.Its clean and was perfect for exploring Dublin walking to all the big sites which were within 10 minutes to Trinity. Stayed here with a friend for a night in October. We had a free night from a former employer. Great location, beds weren't bad but those were the only okay parts. The bathrooms were a nightmare and neither of the showers were working. The wifi also did not work for the majority of our stay. Have been to other Paddys... More

It was a very chaotic boastful place that bad no respect for there guests the rooms rooms were stupidly small. We woke up in the morning and there were people sleeping on the stairwell landing. There seem to be a lot of arrogant long term stayers mostly from Croatia who have little respect for fellow travelers especially woman. I would... More

If you are just looking for a cheap bed this is a good place. If you want a place to enjoy and chill out in there are many other hostels that are better. The staff were friendly and there was a nice atmosphere in the kitchen. It wasn't the cleanest place or the most beautiful either.

Would not recommend this hostel to anybody. It was old and dingey and had 40 year old men staying there. After loosing my booking for a girls only 4 bed dorm I was placed in a 10 bed with majority of 40 year old Irish men. One of who actually had no bed because 11 people were assigned to the... More

Apparently this place became a horrible experience for many people. I was happy with my booking and my private room until I arrived there. What a sh***y hostel. Dirty, smelly, little safety, little comfort. Our private room was around 4 squared metres (no joke) equipped only with a bunk bed. Heater wasn't working. Everything stinks. It could be a good... My friends and I arrived there at 1:30am after our flight. We had a Ensuite for 4 people and when we got to the room we discovered there were 4 more people sleeping already. We went back to the reception and the guy there was absolutely useful and really rude. We informed him about the room category we had book... More

We booked a 4 bed room and paid for it once we arrive at 2am they sent us to an 8 bed room without informing us on the reception. We went back to the reception and the receptionist couldn´t help us at all, he was very rude and at 2am we had to stay. This place is dirty, dirty and... More
