Very noisy, the second floor smelled like urine, the showers were either extreamly cold or scalding hot and could not be used either way. Was very busy when we were there. Some sketchy people about... The only good point is this was our jumping off point for paddys palace tour.... And the tour, busses, and drivers were all excellant, with... More

this was a first time in a hostel for me. The booking on-line was easy, everything was smooth and the room ( with 3 other ladies) was clean, comfortable beds and shower room, loo outside our room. Warning from an older traveller (me!!) be prepared to lift luggage up 4 steps to reception. Take night things in a small bag... More

I stayed at Paddy's Palace for two nights, one night either end of my 6 day southern ireland tour. I booked a 8 bed mixed dorm room with ensuite for the first night, and on the tail end I booked a 4 bed all female room with ensuite. My first night in the 8 bed mixed dorm room, I was... More

4 of us stayed in a 4 bed dorm, overall the stay wasn't bad. Pro's: good location, cheap, free airport shuttle, free one day tour to Kilkenny, free breakfast (although it was rather weak), friendly staff. Con's: no outlets in room, the showers were scalding hot, came back once to find our door ajar (but nothing was missing). If returning... More

My daughter and I booked a private room at Paddy's for a week. Staff was very friendly, The room was super tiny, but we only used it to sleep, The rest of the time we were exploring :) The beds were clean and comfortable. The bathroom was also clean. I didn't like the shower (holding the button made it a... More

There is alot to know when looking to stay in Paddy's. The #1 reason for my booking is because I knew I was going to use them for day trips and it would be easy for pick ups. PLUS they have a free airport shuttle AND free day trip if you book 2 nights. PROS: Free Breakfast - cereal and... More

I went for St. Patricks Day weekend on the tour in Dublin, it was horrible. The staff was rude and unfriendly at the hostel "Paddys Palace" they over booked the tour leaving many people with no where to sleep, our room was changed multiple time after telling us we were staying in the same room, they took all of our... First I have to say - this is my own impression. Every person expects different things from a hostel. And this one disappointed me all the way in case of cleanliness. I stayed in this hostel because of a Paddywagon Tour which started pretty early. They only billed me 10€ for the night, because I was doing a tour, which... More

This was the only negative about my Paddywagon experience - the hostel in Dublin - not just because it was budget-level - it was that there was no way to control the temperature in the rooms - we switched three times to get a decent room - one freezing, one oppressively hot, and one room full of mold. The staff... More
