arrived there and told that we haven't booked the room. went back to the car and check it- back to the reception and they found our name. got the room, very small and hot. size wasn't the issue. it was still a double room as we booked, but the heating wasn't working- we couldn't turn it off or down at... more

This is my second happy stay at the Best Western Sheldon Park Hotel. The name makes it sound rather grand however there is no park anywhere near this hotel, in fact its located within an industrial area, opposite a Nissan car dealership. It used to be called the Kylemore Hotel. The John F Kennedy and Bluebell Ind. estates are nearby.... more

Overall, decent hotel. Interior is very traditional but rooms are a bit more modern and very well appointed. Note, no aircon and there is a radiator in the room for heating. Rooms are of a good standard, nice bed although a bit short if you are a man, but got a good nights sleep. Reception was very helpful and friendly.... more

Just stayed for 3 nights at this hotel and it was excellent Had a spacious room at the back which was quiet. Swimming pool and gym with bar and restaurant and entertainment at weekends. It was a way out of town which we did not mind.Luas stop and no 51 bus can both be caught at the top of the road.We... more

After reading some of the negative reviews I was quite concerned about booking this hotel, but I needed a place close to Our Ladys Hospital in Crumlin. So I went ahead and booked it. I'm very glad I did. The hotel is really lovely. The staff were second to none and were so helpful. I needed to book a taxi... more

I recently stayed in the Sheldon for 2 nights and have to say that it was easily the worst hotel I have stayed in and I stay in hotels all over Ireland and the U.K . The location is terrible-basically you are overlooking an industrial estate and busy junction .However the reason I am reviewing the Hotel is to highlight... more

I have stayed at the hotel several times and must say it's a good hotel with good service. The rooms are what you can expect. The placement is 20min from city center but close to the business park and therefore it is a appreciated business hotel. The food is okay, but the breakfast is disapointing. It is only standard white... more

I suspect that all of the negative reviews are from people who didn't actually stay at the hotel or were expecting a luxury experience for pennies. If you can get a good rate, which is most of the time, this hotel is a great deal. It's 20 minutes away from the city center and across the street from a bunch... more
