I recently reserved a room at the four courts hostel, due to difficult circumstances i could not go to Dublin this particular weekend, however i did cancel with 5 days notice, i spoke with a male menber of staff who assured me i would not be charged for the room and i would only loose my deposit. However the four... more

Please be advised that this matter was resolved with the above reviewer and the money was refunded to their card. The charge was due to a failure of the guest to show up for a booking and the card was charged for the first night of the booking. However once it was clarified that the guest had in fact cancelled...

I arrived in Dublin for St. Patrick's Day weekend a day earlier than my friends, so booked myself into a hostel for one night. I was a bit leery of doing so, because I hadn't hostelled in about ten years and figured I would get no sleep etc. However, the Four Courts was fantastic. The staff were extremely helpful, and... more

I stayed here for only one night in a large dorm. It was very warm despite the frigid outside temps and seemed very clean. The room was a little noisy, being a large 16-bed dorm room and there was some noise from street traffic but nothing too disruptive. Felt very secure and lots of great space downstairs to hang out... more

Myself and my boyfriend stayed here last Friday night and overall it was a really nice experience. We checked in in minutes, were given very good information about where we could leave our luggage if we didn't want to leave it in our room. Our room(a 4bed dorm) was very very clean, as was the bathroom. The only problem I... more

This hostel was the second on our school trip to (Northern) Ireland and after leaving the most disguisting hostel you can imagine my expectations were low. BUT I WAS SO RELIEVED TO SEE THAT THIS PLACE IS REALLY GREAT. The LOCATION of the place is great. It's really downtown, right across the Liffey where you have a wonderful view. From... more

A group of friends from university and I stayed here on a weekend trip. The hostel was clean and in good condition, in a good location - five minutes from Temple Bar, ten from the Guiness Brewery - and for the price was pretty reasonable. Entry is secure, and all the rooms have swipe-card locks. Beds and bathrooms all worked... more

I chose to stay at the Four Courts because I found a high reviews on Hostelworld. It was OK. We stayed in a 6 bed ensuite. Myself and a friend from school. The room was fairly decent in size and it did have a private bath. There were also at least 2 other toilets in the hallway outside of the... more

Not good value for money. We had a family room with 4 bunk beds and private bath. Costed 120 euro. The room was shabby with creaking beds, it was not clean and the staff seemed to be in a permanently bad mood. They barely even greeted us when we came in. The breakfast was okay and the location is good,... more

While in Dublin we stayed in the Four Courts Hostel for two nights (June 2007). The first night we booked a six bedded room (there were five of us). The second night we booked a "family" room with five beds. Both rooms were "en suite" (shower in the room). Both of the rooms were clean and the beds were in... more

I think that for what we actually paid for our hostel room, I found that it was well worth it! The hostel was centrally located, about 10 min walk (20 min drunken stagger) from the Temple Bar area and being on the south side of the river meant no walking over bridges and losing people. the rooms were of a... more
