Jacob's Inn Dublin boasts a reputation for its high cleanliness standards, where guests consistently praise the spotless rooms and facilities. The hostel's vibrant atmosphere, underscored by lively social events, enhances the guest experience. While its central location garners acclaim for convenience, it is a double-edged sword, as some guests report noise disturbances. The staff's friendliness and helpfulness frequently receive commendations, yet opinions on room comfort and value vary, with specific criticism aimed at poor ventilation and a warm sleeping environment within the pod-style beds.

Really disappointed after staying there for couple of nights even though I have stayed in Jacobs inn in Barcelona..completely different experience. - In the future they should replace the USB slot for sockets, since nowadays people can have different devices.. I have seen in the comments other people have complained that. It’s a pity though, so people have to sit in the common area… - Showering is the most disappointing part of the experience, you pay 66.5€ per night(during weekend) for a 4 people dormitory and you can’t even shower 🚿 freely, since you need to press the button every 15 seconds, even in the army there is not this restriction.😿 I would say that this is extremely overpriced. - Beware of the dynamic price: I booked it very early to get a cheaper price, but eventually it got even cheaper on the day of arrival. - Extremely slow internet speed: If you are in your PAd, the internet is almost unusable, or the connection become disrupted, they should have upgraded the speed. - Extremely loud noise if you are sleeping on the side where train passes(which is the even numbers room): Almost unbearable🚊 keep passing by, they should have solved and use more sound-proof material. Can imagine that if you are a light sleeper. Your vacation will be ruined. - No tea, utensils in the chillout room. - Though the vibe in the inn is good, the cost/ performance is extremely low. Other downsides have been reported in other comments. Never would I come back.

Clean, comfortable hostel. The bar is very expensive. The website states there´d be a vegan breakfast, don´t believe it. They do offer almond and oat milk. When you check-in, you can choose to get tokens for the breakfast, I didn´t think it through and paid for all the days I was staying there. So they gave me all the tokens at once. Breakfast started at 7h30 am, so if you want to catch a train to visit Galway or Belfast, you can´t get breakfast before 7h30. When I asked to get a refund on the tokens I didn´t use, they refused. I´d highly recommend to just get a token at the reception every morning you want breakfast. Hope they mention the non-refundable tokens to their new guests as well!

Absolutely fabulous hostel with great dorms as well as “hotel rooms”. Comfortable and warm and welcoming staff who are friendly and helpful. Couldn’t ask for more. My dorm was soo comfortable and each bed is private by using individual curtains. Fantastic.

Really nice hostel in the centre of Dublin. Not the safest area, but during the day is great. It has everything you need but the kitchen, which was very disappointing to me. Pods are big enough to fit in, only thing my locker was broken and I needed to bring my stuff to the reception locker, thank god they had that option. Breakfast was good for 12 euro, buffet. In general, I would stay again.

I arrived just after midnight. Then paid 16 Euros for a pod (?) Quite like a coffin. Plenty of space for luggage and lockers for valuables. Breakfast from 7.30 am. The neighbourhood is not that safe (even though it has a major police station next door) more of a young person's hostel, stayed once before years ago, in a single room.

The place is fantastic, with a great central location. Facilities kept pace with the present. Cleanliness standards are taken very seriously. Thumbs up to Petronella (I hope I got her name right :-) for all the help and for going the extra mile to help me and other guests. Will return and will recommend it to all my friends!
