Overall this Travelodge was a good place to stay, It was a large room that we were given but I do have to complain about the lack of plug sockets in the room. When needing phone charger, laptop, hairdrier etc, two sockets is ridiculous for the size of the room. My one niggle with the room was this. The tv... more

Great location on the edge of Dublin close to the trains to get into town. Thats about as good as it gets. I stayed there with my family for 2 nights, and was disapointed to find only 2 pillows and 2 cups - there were 4 of us. The following night we stayed at a premmier inn and they got... more

Hi James, Thanks for taking the time to write your review. Our rooms in Castleknock are always very pleasant and clean, so your comments do disappoint me greatly. I would really appreciate if you could contact me directly at the hotel to discuss these issues further? I could then get your travel dates and check back on the housekeeping roster....

As I say in the title "Be warned about the smoking in Irish Travelodge’s" We took out 3 young kids for a week’s holiday in Dublin & Galway. Out stay was ruined by the fact that both the hotels stank of smoke, on every floor and in each room we stayed in. Our first allocated room was unbelievable, they had... more

Hi Again, I'm sure you have already read my response to your Galway review. I can assure you our non smoking room do have smoke detectors that send an alarm signal out to our reception team when it detects smoke. We always take immediate action! Under no circumstances do we allow smoking in non smoking rooms throughout our hotels in...

We came to Dublin for a concert so only stayed here for one night. Typical Travelodge – friendly staff, clean room, comfy bed, some tea/coffee for the morning – all you need for one night – no unnecessary extras. Good location – a bit outside city centre, but on a busy roundabout yet very quiet (probably due to the fact... more

Having read various reviews on Travelodge hotels I wasn't expecting much more than a basic room to sleep for the night- and the Travelodge at Dublin Castleknock did not really exceed those expectations. We were offered a choice of upstairs or downstairs and chose upstairs (no people thumping about on top of you). Our room was pleasant and clean and... more

We stayed here before because of its location. This time we were met by a friendly receptionest.Eric , We were made to feel nothing was a problem and always had a smile for everyone. A pleasure to have met. Unfortunatly thats where it ends, the housekeeping was rubbish pillows were like pancakes and the room was shabby to say the least,... more

We have just returned from our stay at this travelodge, basically got what you would expect- basic accomodation but clean and comfortable. Room was a good size for 2 people and was not overly priced. Buses are extremely regular, even on Sundays with the number 38 & 39 services providing direct access to O'Connell Street & Temple Bar. Buy a... more

I'm put off for life from Travelodge. Not an irish person in sight. Very unwelcoming. The first room we went to had an old sock around the shower head. Why? Cos the last person who stayed there found that the shower head was broken and was spraying water all over the place, and the housekeepers failed to notice it!! How... more
