I stayed here just one night before heading out to the country side. The single room needed repairs. It was of adequate size. I clearly asked for a quiet room when making reservations. Since when is a room right next to the train tracks quiet? Internal noises were bothersome also.

Stayed a couple days in Dublin for St. Patricks day and prices in the Temple bar area were too expensive. O'Neills is a quick 5-10 minute walk to the temple bar area and most attractions to see and the ones that are not close we just hopped on a bus. Rooms were clean and what you would expect. I will... We were walking down street debating amongst ourselves about where to go. An old gentleman heard us and said "you have to go to O'Neills". We are so glad he did. Food was excellent. Typical bar layout. Fun spot. See Molly McGuire outside.

I'll be fair here, we didn't know the place was under renovations when we booked. This would explain why, when we showed up in the afternoon, the doors were still locked. There's an open door on the side of the street where you can walk up a flight of stairs and likely find the owner. He's a busy guy with... More

O'Neills was no frills, but very cute and clean. It's conveniently located, as well and reasonably priced. The folks who run it are not particularly friendly or helpful but that's okay. Pub downstairs looked charming, too.

We are currently staying here and we must say that we have choosen the right place for our short trip to dublin. it is a lovely old fashioned style - which i mean in a positive way - its romantic from my perspective. room is quiet even as it is next to the road and dart train and it is... More

I agree with Lana R. Recently stayed here and everything she said was spot on. We were greeted with about 5 words "Check ins not till 230pm" and then the man disappeared. We figured out where to put our stuff by asking the chef who was around. The chef and waitress were super nice and bar staff was nice as... More

Do not understand all the super positive reviews. The location is excellent, yes. But we arrived to a lukewarm welcome and were shown to our room. It was reasonable sized with a queen size bed and bunk beds (we didn't use these). Furniture was outdated. Tiny TV screen on the wall (not an issue for us as we didn't watch... More

I am disappointed to hear that you were not given a warm welcome on arrival as we pride ourselves in doing these things right. I am sorry you found your room furniture outdated but many guests love the old world charm they find in our rooms which is why people come and stay in an old Victorian pub in the... More

We stayed two nights upon our arrival in Ireland. We picked this place for two reasons; its proximity to Trinity College, and most importantly, the experience of staying at a pub. If room service and plush surroundings are your "thing" this place may not be for you. There is no elevator and the stairs consist of flights, half flights, quarter... More

We stayed at O'Neills for one night after staying the rest of the week at places that were further outside the city center, so we enjoyed the convenience of being right in town. O'Neills was just a short walk from Dame St, Grafton St, etc and was also a short walk from the DART station in the other direction. We... More
