Stayed at Egan's last week, having stayed there at the end of last year.Nothing has changed and if anything, it's better. I had more time to lounge in the wonderful armchairs in the lobby, read the papers. Reception very friendly, booking-in so easy. Rooms, showers are spotless. Egan's is hidden away from the main road, 3 minutes walk, so it's... More

Mix up with our room booking but they got us a fold out bed which on St. Patrick's weekend was a life saver. Nice staff with clean rooms, and in a nice quiet area. A fair walk to city centre but was nice walking off the Jamesons from the night before.

Very polite and helpful staff; let us take a pot of tea up to our room after breakfast was finished and got more hot food for us quite quickly even though breakfast was nearing the end. Lovely choice of food for breakfast- all hot and well cooked. Lovely relaxing lounge with wi-fi and comfy leather sofa's. Room small but comfortable.... More

Thank you for your lovely review. It is much appreciated. The lounges are very comfortable especially when the fire is lit but I think mostly because they are spacious and yet cosy and unlike most hotels are rarely used for eating and drinking but rather for lazing about with a book or laptop using the free WIFi. Whilst overall I wouldnt fault this place which probably represents good value for Dublin dont get too carried away after reading the reviews as in many ways its pretty average. This may well be my only trip to Dublin and it was spoilt by lack of sleep , overall the hotel wasnt noisy but our room no. 45 i think... More

I appreciate your positive comments. There is a water pump nearby but we have had only one previous complaint about it. Apologies for your lack of sleep. Pat More

Have stayed here a number of times and it has always been a perfectly comfortable and enjoyable experience. The hotel is situated in a quiet residential street of red brick buildings between Drumcondra and Glasnevin and within easy walking distance of a number of good pub/restaurants for which a discount system is in place if you ask at reception. Given... More

Older property near to but not in the city. Parking a hassle unless you pay and instructions to find it were poor considering the location. Staff were friendly and helpful. I found the place lacked adequate heating, I had to wear a pullover in bed. Clean and tidy. Not such good value overall. Fot the same rating in a similar... More

I'm sorry you did not have a great experience. It was Christmas time and we did not have a full compliment of regular staff. This may have caused difficulties in relation to directions, though directions are very clear on Google maps etc. The heating was on high and constant but you may not have turned it on in the room.... The family room is quite spacious and could accommodate 5 people. The rooms are bit old and sufficient enough. Adequate heating even in Winter, Midway between City center and Dublin airport. Grossarie shops like Tesco and Restaurants like Eddie Rockets are near by.

Thank you kindly for your review. The rooms are gradually being up-dated. It is a good location being just 2kms from city centre with an excellent bus service and just 10 kms from airport. There are numerous shops and restaurants and pubs within 10 mins walking distance. Thanks again Pat and Monica More

Thank you so much for your kind review. There was a mix-up with the tea/coffee in the rooms. I am so glad that you had a great time. 18 of us stay here for a friends 40th. Our room was nice & clean only down side there was no kettle we did ask but we never got one but no big deal. Breakfast was good but a little greasy for me, you have to ask for fried eggs if you want one.

I really appreciate your lovely review. You were 9 couples and we were asked to provide 4 kettles, tea, coffee etc which we did. Perhaps they were put into 4 of the rooms but those that had requested them ended up in different rooms. You were a lovely group and that makes our job a pleasure. Thanks again. Pat Finn More
