Egan's is a small comfortable guesthouse with very friedly staff and a welcoming atmosphere. My single room was newly painted, clean and very quiet. Breakfast is typical irish and adequate. I had a fast wireless internet connection in my room, which was very important for me, but there is also a connection in the lounge. The lounge is friendly decorated,... more

Nice location, with plenty of good places to get an evening meal. The Botanic Garden's & Glasnevin Cemetery in easy walking distance. I enjoyed a cooked breakfast most day's... perfect. Egan's House is well located, with parking & a short bus ride into the city, but I feel it's riding on its past reputation. The first room we were given was too small to open our cases, with an even tinier bathroom, and there were no vacancies for us to change. The heating didn't work but an electric heater was... more

Our room was barely adequate. Decor was shabby - dents/holes in the door, frayed curtain ties, old mattresses and old furniture left on the landing etc, etc. Breakfast was a battle with young guests queuing up and taking the food before more well behaved guests could get to it. I could sum up the place as being one step up... more

We are very sorry that you had a bad experience. However we have the 2nd highest rating for a 3*** Guesthouse in Dublin. We think it's unfortunate that you didn't make even one positive comment.

Egan's House was an affordable place to stay in Dublin, although you must be prepared to take the bus in to town. The hotel is much too far to walk in to Dublin every day. We walked it once and did not do it again since you will spend a lot of time walking around the city. The breakfast buffet... more

I've been to Dublin before but this was the first time with my 3 yr old daughter, my friend and her 3 yr old daughter. We'd done our research before we went and found out how to get to Egan's House from the ferry port by public transport - it was easy and the kids loved being able to sit... more

I was rather disappointed. Although our room was huge - a double + 2 twins for our kids - I felt it was not very clean. The carpet was ancient and rather musty, the windows (huge bay windows) were only half covered by lace curtains - good thing we were on the second floor! The worst thing was the quality... more

I stayed at Egan's House with two family members over Easter weekend. It is a relatively large B&B, but small enough to retain a quiet environment. Parking is free, in the paved lot between the building and Iona Park road. It is approximately 40 minutes away from lower O'Connell street on foot, and 20 minutes by bus. You can also... more

Durng our recent trip to ireland, we stayed in some of the highest ranked B&Bs on Tripadvisor. They were all good, but only Egans had fresh newspapers with the breakfast. The rooms had chairs and there are to very cozy communal rooms. The price was - marginally - lower than all other B&Bs we stayed at. We also appriciated that... more
