We arrived from edinburgh with 2 year old child only to be told by the most ignorant condesending person i have ever come across receptionist with red hair who claimed to be manager. That my card had been declined the day before although i was due to pay on arrival, i showed my confirmation still live which had been booked through hotels.com, she was not in the slightest intereted started shouting "im not a muppet its your fault" your card was declined she would not listen to hotel.coms either resulted in us standing outside hotel for over 2 hours on mobile to hotels.com who finally got us a apartment. I wish i had read reviews i have never saw such bad customer service or had to deal with someone so ignorant. STAY AWAY TRUST ME, i had 2 hours stress but a lucky escape.

We booked a room here months in advance. When we arrived, we were told that they were remodeling and that they would send us to another hotel a 20 minute taxi drive OUTSIDE of Dublin! They refused to locate us at a closer hotel, they refused to call the manager, they refused to give a refund on the spot, and they even refused to allow us to use the phone! We still have not been refunded for two nights and we had to pay DOUBLE the price to get another hotel in Temple Bar. We are not the only ones who experienced this. I wish I had read the reviews before booking with this hotel.

We booked a room here months ago through a hotel website. Payment to be taken when we arrived.. even though I emailed and rang the hotel multiple times, I had no reply to confirm the booking. I heard from them the DAY BEFORE arriving that they had cancelled our room. And haven't helped or been sympathetic to our situation. We now have no accommodation and will now have to miss our flight and lose out on money from this. NEVER BOOK HERE

Arrived here for a long weekend and when we saw our rooms we were so shocked, basic is too kind to use. No kettle in the room but we could use there kitchen area to get hot water. We never had breakfast but glad as it is only cereal and bread for toast. Residents live there permanently and I feel sorry for them. The single bed in room 2 had no springs left in the mattress, we asked for it to be changed but they just gave us 2 quilts to put on the mattress which hardly helped. The bathroom was so tiny no where to put your toiletries down in there, no shelf in the shower either have to put shower gel on the floor. No clothes hooks in the bathroom so no where to hang anything while in the shower I had to come our and get dressed in the room asking my friend to look away to

I am a budget traveler, but the Bridge House is definitely on the low end of the category. My single room had no chair or table. The TV boasts two channels! An Italian restaurant vents its ovens into the courtyard behind the hotel, so there is both unpleasant noise and odor. Wi-fi does not work on upper floors. Plumbing needs to be replaced. Someone traveling with me reported a very bad odor in the bathroom. Definitely not the place for a long stay. On the plus side, the cleanliness is good and my bed comfortable. Wish I had read the Tripadvisor reviews more carefully!

Terrible! The stairs are incredibly steep. The hotel has a horrible smell and the rooms were not clean. Would definitely not recommend staying here to anyone. There are hostels in the area with private rooms which have better accessibility and are much cleaner with superior service.

We arrived to be told there was no booking for us even though we had confirmation from our travel agent in Australia and a voucher for our stay. They said NO. And also to the lady from France that walked in after us. We went down the road to temple bar area and was lucky enough to find some where else. The staff weren't helpful at all and very rude to us all 👊

I am not hard to please generally, as long as i have a clean, quiet room with clean ensuite facilities it ticks my boxes. Do not be caught out by the lovely room pictured for the Bridge House, reality is the complete opposite. I booked a double room and got a twin room with a broken bed, a noisy air conditioning unit outside the bedrooms single glazed window , electric wires hanging from the ceiling and decor that is so dated, wallpaper bulging off walls and grimy brown carpet. We complained and got an "upgrade" at "no additional cost" to a room that was every bit as bad facing a very noisy street where noise prevailed the entire night and the room was so warm but to open the single glazed window, the noise was dreadful. Staff were not that helpful and stated that was the best

I stayed at Bridge House Dublin for two nights. I needed a place that was close to the conference I was attending. The room was not at all what I expected. It smelled - I'm sure the sheets had not been changed - and there was still garbage in the room from the previous guest. Also, the room backed onto an alley where a restaurant was located. It constantly smelled like burnt bread and the alley was quite loud, especially as the servers from the restaurant kept dumping glass into a recycling bin all through the night. Finally, the bed was extremely lumpy and uncomfortable. I could have ignored the rest, but not being able to sleep made the room pretty much useless. There is no wi-fi in the rooms and the wi-fi in the lobby area is spotty at best. Would not recommend.

If you're looking for location, Bridge House is great . Very conveniently located within steps of Temple bar and lots of nightlife. That being said , if you're looking for a quiet stay or friendly service avoid this accommodation. You are paying for the location and not much else - staff are not overly friendly and rooms are far from updated - however ! There are great amenities down the street... Coffee hubs, restaurants and pubs with free wifi ( which is not available at the hotel as stated in the ad).
