Let's begin with the pros: the hostel is near the city centre. Its about a 10-15min walk. The staff is friendly and helpful. The negativs: the room was small and looked like a cellar. It was really hot like in a boiler room and there was just a very little window. It was quite tidy, but we heard every step... More

I stayed here at the DCH as my first stop through Ireland (and first ever hostel). It was a great experience equipped with everything needed. The rooms had lots of space to accommodate 8 guests, and bathrooms were clean. The hostel also has shared spaces for guests to mingle and a kitchen, though I didn't take advantage of these during... I was very impressed with the hostel. It was a reasonable price for a great location. The hostel provides a lot - free towels, free WiFi, free printing of boarding passes, free breakfast - it had everything I needed. The rooms were comfortable and not too crowded. The staff was exceptionally friendly and I felt safe and comfortable there. If... More

We really enjoyed our stay at this hostel. The receptionists were very helpful, the hostel was reasonably clean and quiet. The breakfast was simple but really all you need and also they offer some discounts for a full Irish breakfast at the cafe next door which if pretty handy. We booked the whole room and we thought it's a great... More

We few in on the red-eye, and we expected to have to mill around for hours waiting for check-in time. However, the desk guy (I forget his name) buzzed us in and sent us immediately to our room so we could rest and freshen up! We came down, and he spent a lot of time orienting us to the city,... We had 2 nights in Dublin coming off a red eye. Ian, the receptionist on duty and Captain of the Ship, let us check in early and had upgraded our room based on availability and to give us a better view. The room was quite spacious for 2 (had a double and a bunk bed). En suite bath nice touch... More

Great place to stay while in Dublin. Located at the top of O'Connell Street, it's just a five minute walk to the heart of town. Staff were all very friendly, the hostel was clean and well kept and the private double room I had was also clean and well kept. I'll be back to Dublin and back to this hostel.

Stayed here in mid-January for two nights and we thoroughly enjoyed ourselves. Stayed in the en-suite double room in the basement, which was much better that I'd expected for the price! Towels, bedding and soap were all provided which was a nice touch. Didn't really check out of the common areas of the hostel but the sitting room looked lovely... More

We really enjoyed our stay here at Dublin Central Hostel. We stayed two nights and were happy to have a bathroom in our room. We were also really happy that we could stay at a hostel in a double room instead of a dorm. We thought it was great value for money. The staff were really helpful as well. Only... More
