Stayed at the Merrion Hall for the Springsteen concert last saturday night. Checked in a few hours before official checkin (which was not an issue) and went shopping. It is literally across the road from the RDS, could not be better located. Staff very friendly and helpful and a request for coffee after midnight was warmly responded to. Will be... more

Typical greedy Irish wont pay enough staff to keep customers happy. We arrived mid afternoon and were waiting 20 minutes to be checked in. When we got to the room it wasn't a smoking room as advertised, in fact, there were none in the hotel. There also was no tea/coffee in the room itself, you had to ring reception and... more

A very warm welcome when we arrived and asked if we would like tea or coffee. We were then shown to our room which had the wow factor, having a spa bath and decorated and furnished to a very high standard. The staff could not do enough for you and were very helpful. The location was ideal as we only... more

What can I say other than completeley impressed. We arrived several hours before check in time but was invited right in. The staff quickly took our luggage to our room and gave us tea and cookies. The room itself was great. The room had two windows that opened completely up. The tub had spa jets which were useful after walking... more

This place is a small-ish boutique type hotel in the posher Ballsbridge region of Dublin. Its a nicely furnished Edwardian Style Hotel. I was working at the RDS just across the road so it was a good location. It was nice not to have a bill full of extras, as Wifi and Parking was free. On the seocnd night i... more

I work in 1 4* hotel and booked this "hotel" through work. We arrived in the hotel at about 6.30 to find nobody there. Actually as we were comin into the hotel it says "merrion Hall Guesthouse" on the wall. And they have about 3 parking spots although they advertise private parking. Eventually a man came to us and offered... more

I was very disapointed by this hotel. The staff was nice, but did not seem no be used to foreign travelers. The room was small, with 2 tiny beds. I got problems with my lights and tv. There was no clock. The breakfast was very ordinary. There was nothing awful, but I would not refer anyone to this hotel. more
