I always stay at the Montrose Lodge when I am in Dublin. A bus stop for the city and the airport in a short distance. Very calm neighbourhood. Excellent b&b with Helen as a perfect host. Do ask her for some tips on nice restaurants in the neighbourhood.

Helen made of our stay a delight. She is so kind and helpful! To add is that rooms are nice, spacious, well equipped, very very quiet. Nothing to say against this B and B, not even prices very reasonable for Dublin. You feel home, you sleep well! Seems a bit far from historical centre but many buses take you there.... More

This is by far the nicest family run hotel I have ever had a pleasure to stay in. Helen will take such a good care of you, you won't want to leave! Rooms are spacious, spotless clean, you'll have a quiet breakfast in a nice setting, full of light. Our work was based at UCD, so it's a no brainer... More

My partner and I stayed here for a couple of nights over Easter. This was the loveliest B&B we stayed in during our trip to Ireland. Helen was so helpful and really friendly. The room was a decent size and incredibly tidy. We caught the bus into Dublin which was easier than the hassle of trying to take the car... More

I stayed for two nights 10th and 11th Sept 2014 as I was attending an event at my alma mater, University College Dublin, and it was recommended by the organisers as being v convenient to the college which it certainly was. Very good position almost opposite the main entrance and very good flexible breakfast plan - you could have no... More

On a busy road but very quiet inside courtesy of double glazing. Plenty of room with a small en suite attached (we had a back room). Everything works. Everything is ultra clean. Helen Martin is a friendly and efficient host. Good public transport to the city and easy road access to Wicklow Mountains, Powerscourt, Glendalough, etc. Good eating places about... More

The Montrose Lodge is a very nice B&B located on the suburban outskirts of Dublin very close to the campus of University College. It is run with graceful efficiency and charm by Helen M. I was there for five days while involved in a conference at the University and found it a comfortable and most pleasant place to stay, as... More

We loved the location out of the city centre but on a bus route to the city, the rooms were very comfortable and the breakfasts were wonderful. Helen was a great host. Would have no hesitation in recommending and staying again.

I stayed in Montrose for 2 weekends whilst doing a course in Dublin. The B&B is spotlessly clean, the rooms are lovely with really nice furniture. The breakfast was delicious & the host Helen really hospitable! I can definitely recommend & will stay here again !

Stayed over the weekend early April. Easy access to the city centre via bus or a short walk to the DART. Quiet, clean and very welcoming. Helen is a wonderful host. Room a good size....very clean and very comfortable. Had a brief malfunction of the shower and Helen had a plumber in almost immediately to fix back to normal. Have... More
