When we arrived there was no one there we got a text message giving us a code for the front door and told what room we were in. There was no heating or hot water and the women that cooked breakfast started to do the ironing beside me while I was having my breakfast.

Richard at Ethan House became my hero last week when I was stuck in a very cold Dublin overnight unexpectedly as my friend was kept in hospital. Not only was he very helpful in finding me a room, but was welcoming, friendly and I felt very comfortable and safe. The Hot Water Bottle I found in my bed made this... More

We spent at Ethan House our first week in Dublin . The B&B is very close to St. James' Hospital. Probably it is a bit far from the city centre, but within walking distance to the red Luas (Rialto) and the 123 bus stop is just outdoor. It is a very quiet place, clean and tidy. Every morning Richard or... More

I recently had to stay in a B&B solo, while my husband was in St James hospital. The owner of Ethan House could not have been nicer. I was fed on arrival, had as much coffee as I could handle, he helped move my car to a free parking spot and he even made a breakfast sandwich for me to... More

I stayed here before Christmas. It was clean comfortable and reasonabley priced. I had an early start and breakfast was freshly cooked. I did not meet Richard but he has been nothing but nice to me when arranging to send on some stuff I left behind. So thumbs up this a great b&b.

Stayed at this B+B for two nights in April, I found it very clean, good value for money and a super breakfast. I will be back in Dublin very soon, I hope to stay there again. I have told friends of mine about this B+B.

Despite Richard not being there, i found my stay so convenient. Warm and fresh on arrival, huge bright room, plenty of towels available. I only spoke over the phone with him, but he was very easy going and friendly. The bus into town is literally directly across the road, and a cab is roughly 6euro. Quiet location and i slept... Couldn't get a warmer welcome. We arrived, party of 4 when the b&b was undergoing building works. The owner Richard, despite all the work being undertaken provided us with a lovely room and attended to any requests. He provided extra towels and had the rooms heated on our arrival. He also had hot water bottles in the beds to keep... More

I stayed in ethan house early Dec with two friends. We stayed for two nights. On arrival we met Richard and were warmly welcomed. I must say we found him very helpful and friendly. The b and b is a beautiful Victorian house with a lovely little courtyard and sitting area. The location of the b and b was great... More
