We arrived at 8-00pm to book in only to be told they had an electric fault and could we come back in ten minutes, we actually went to a pub and came back after two hours. It was still not fixed and we didn't get into our room until 10-45pm. the stair carpet was very stained but the room was... More

The location of this "B&B" is great--very walkable to all the sights in Dublin. My room was also very clean. BUT *The floor dipped so much under the bed, I was nervous I'd fall through the floor during the night. *The bed did not have sheets and a blanket, just a bedroll folded in half on top of the uncomfortable... Rooms were basic yet clean and comfortable. Location was fab . Stayed here the night of a concert and was perfect for the occasion. Staff were nice and wifi was free! would stay here again for a similar occasion however not for luxury.

I stayed here for one night recently and want to be as fair as possible with my review, having stayed in a few different hotels on the same street, this one was a little less comfortable in terms of the room..we wanted a twin room but it was a tiny room more suitable as a single room, there wasn't any... I definitely would not consider this a B&B. More of a hostel mixed with a budget hotel. But as far as budget accommodation in Europe goes, you can't really expect much. Europe overall is full of tiny rooms and bad plumbing, unless you want to spend $150+ per night or stay somewhere on the outskirts of the city centre. PROS:... More

Where do I start. 1- unclean toilet in the room 2- poor excuse of a shower (no pressure, warm at best with the hottest setting) 3- minimal plug sockets so had a grubby looking extension lead going across the room. 4- they "apparently" use a high with conversion rate (charged £18 GBP over the general conversion rate) and got really... We booked our last night in Dublin here. Bad decision--WE HAD NO WATER OR ELECTRICITY! The service was the worst. The attendant said he will give us another room or a discount. However, he never came back to us. This lead to my boyfriend running around at 00:30 searching for another place to stay. We checke in at 01:30 down... More

We had only good memories at the Durban Residence. The staff is very nice and although check-in is at 14:30, he were able to park our car in the morning and they did everything to get our room ready as fast as possible. Very recommendable!

My girlfriend and I recently stayed at Durban Residence during our visit to Dublin. The main thing in the favour of this B&B is it's location. You are on the cusp of the city centre and in easy walking distance of most of the key attractions. As a consequence, you pay a premium price for what is essentially quite basic... More

The only good thing about this bed and breakfasts is the central location. Other than that, there is no elevator between the floors, the breakfast is limited to basics and there is no soundproof between the rooms. The staff hardly speaks English and is not helpful at all.
