He makes your stay so easy, gives you all the information you need right away. How to get wherever you want to go, bus numbers/stops/times, where to eat, etc. Good location, good breakfast, big bed, very clean. If we're being picky, the shower is small but that's typical in Europe. Would definitely recommend. After having stayed in dozens of B&B's in many cities, I've come to the conclusion that it's sometimes hard to pin down the reason for feeling really good about a particular place. Such a place is Beech Lodge in Dublin. The room was comfortable, not excessively large or lavish, but with every amenity needed; lots of cupboard space, a cozy... More

We arrived quite early in the day, and our room in this charming little B&B was already ready. We were warmly welcomed by the owner, who not only explained the stay but also suggested some very good establishments to eat both near the B&B and in the centre of Dublin. He gave us some good tips for getting around Dublin... More

I led a party of 4 that stayed with Gerry for 4 nights as we visited Dublin, Newgrange, Powerscourt, Glendalough and the Wicklow Moutains. Gerry is one of the most thoughtful and caring hosts I have ever had, anywhere. He also prepared several excellent breakfasts, gave helpful dining and touring advice and was very sensitive to the needs of my... More

I loved our stay here. Gerry was very great host - he had lots of tips for where to eat, drink and be happy. HE gave us directions and suggestions on where to go. A bus stop is only a block away to take you to Centre City in about 5 minutes. The location is quieter than staying in Dublin... More

A great place to stay a quick bus ride out of the busier Dublin city. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Our host was extremely welcoming and helpful with great suggestions for dinner, transport options and then because we had to leave very early in the morning, he packed us a paper bag breakfast left outside our door the night before.... The Beech Lodge was a great place to stay just outside of the city center. Gerry was a wonderful host, and provided helpful information about the area and the bus routes to and from the city. The room was very nice and was perfect for our first time in Ireland. We would not stay anywhere else when we return to... More

We loved staying at Beech Lodge to start off our trip around Ireland, and are glad we booked it a second time for our return to Dublin before flying back home. The proximity to the airport and the city center is ideal. If you like to stay out of the hustle and bustle of the city center, yet want to... More

This is a beautiful, clean B&B conveniently located on many bus lines that take you to city center in just minutes. Gerry was very welcoming and unbelievably organized. He sent us out prepared with tons of advice regarding where to go, how to get there, where to eat, drink and be entertained each day. As others here have noted, the breakfasts... More

Gerry was a great host, the home is well kept, nice rooms and good Irish breakfasts. The bus to Dublin stops outside the front gate. Just a short 15 min into Dublin so the B & B location is good. Local food options were a bit hit and miss, however Gerry's recommendation of the 'Bank' in Dublin was great.
