We were looking for a basic room for one night (Saturday) We booked a double room with no breakfast. We arrrived at 3.30pm & had to wait 20mins til we got to our turn to check in. The receptionist did apologise for the delay. It was a very warm day & the hotel was very warm inside. The lift is... more

While very central and easy to get to this hotel was very poor value. The room was small and shabby, the window faced a wall, the net curtains were dirty, the safe didn't work, the TV instructions on screen were in Russian or some other eastern european language, there were no bed-side lights only holes where they had been, there... more

Seems like other reviewers must have stayed at a different Lynam's Hotel near the Millennium Spire in Dublin, because I found it a *great* place to stay, close to absolutely everything downtown and with a clean, quiet room. Wi-fi access (very important!) was perfectly adequate and I was able to leave my luggage for the day while out exploring. The... more

Disgusted with allocated room, reception staff were always very helpful and gave me keys to look and choose another room. Looked at 3 which were all the same, very dirty, claustrophobic, dingy. Eventually chose a triple room on top floor but not much better at all. Sheets & towels clean, furniture falling apart, coffee cups filthy. Soap dispenser on basin... more

Just got back from a long weekend in Dublin and happy to recommend this hotel. Stayed in room 1 on the first floor which was clean and nicely decorated if somewhat compact but perfectly adequate if not spending time in your room. Not 'tired' or 'shabby' in the slightest as I'd feared. After reading the poor reviews on here expected... more

Just got back from a weekend in Dublin. We choose to stay at Lynams Hotel. Never again!! The room we had was right at the Lift and the Cleaners Cupboard!! The room was very Dirty and Dusty. The windows looked like they had never been washed for several months. The towels that we were given were all marked, we had... more

Excellent location, (but so are many other hotels in the area) part of the building is now a Spar shop, would be more accurately described as a B&B not hotel. The rooms looked 'tired' and needed a thorough cleaning (cobwebs & dust) . For a bit more money, could have stayed in much better accomodation. more

Our room was grubby and smelled of old cigarettes, but at least the sheets were clean. The Reception staff were unfriendly and not very welcoming. One night night was enough. Over priced, over rated and a 'tired' looking hotel. more

Lynam's is on O'Connell street right by the Milennium Spire. It is in between a McDonald's and a small Spar. The location couldn't have been better. It is right by all transportation hubs. Whether you are taking public transport or using the hop-on hop-off, it's all right there for you. The hotel itself is nice enough. It's older and a... more

We were having a city break in Dublin, went with my sister and friends. We needed a comfortable place to have a rest. We got one of the rooms on the top floor. Outside our window, there were cigarrette ends and empty beer cans. The carpet was absolutely disgusting covered in hairs, so was the bathroom. We complained the next... more
