I have found the staff at the Alexander hotel to be exemplary. The front desk personnel go out of their way to assure you a delightful stay. the Irish breakfast is tops! Overall, this is your best choice when in Dublin. You will love the location. Walking distance to all important sites in Dublin.

We stayed 2 nights at the O'Callaghan Alexander in Dublin for our honeymoon. We rented a car and put the GPS coordinates in for the hotel which we easily found. However, there wasn't any parking available around the hotel, or any signage indicating where to park. My husband illegally parked and put the flashers on to run into the hotel... More

I stayed one night stay on business but a great room and the most amazingly comfortable bed. Room well furnished, very clean and spacious. The Wifi was particularly easy to access with excellent speeds.

The Alexander Hotel is situated in Dublin's city centre, close to many pubs and specialty shops, as well as Trinity College (Book of Kells, Old Library). It is about 2 blocks from the nearest hop-on hop-off stop (at Merrion Square), but all within walking distance of it, the National Museum and parks. It is around the corner from its sister... More

We booked a two night stay from 3rd May to visit our daughter in Dublin. We booked about a week in advance through Lastminute.com and got an excellent deal. The Hotel is very well situated, the staff were all friendly and helpful. We had a room on the 4th floor which was well furnished and large. The bed is probably... More

Stayed here for business and chose hotel because it was the conference venue. However, it was a reasonable price (breakfast was included) although I'm sure you can find cheaper if you want. Breakfast was good, and it is a very short walk from the City Centre. Facilities were good, although I couldn't get WiFi in the bedroom and I would... More

My friend and I traveled to Dublin in April 2015 and after getting moved to the O'Callaghan Alexander because of a fault in our original hotel we absolutely loved it. The staff couldn't have been more friendly and helpful and our room was lovely and everything that we needed. Even on Good Friday when everywhere was closed we were able... More

The Alexander hotel is at the corner of Merrion Square, but perhaps the 'wrong' corner - closer to the less wealthy part of the square. Several taxis did not get there easily but went round a few times in the one way traffic system of Dublin in order to get me there. But it was a clean, cosy and convenient... More

I have been to Dublin a couple of times before but our usual hotel wasn't available so me and my sister happened along the Alexander as it was a good price and the reviews looked great. The hotel was in a quiet location about a 10-15 minute walk from temple bar, as we were wearing heels we got a taxi... More

Very helpfull and friendly staff. Walking to city centre was good to do, nice walk via Trinity College. Quiet location though, so we had a good night sleep. Taxi always in front of hotel in case you don't feel like walking (taxi to Temple Bar appr. 10 euro). Breakfast includes more than just Irish Breakfast. In case you want your... More
