We have just come back from a trip to County Wicklow for a friends wedding. On our final night in Ireland we decided to take a drive and headed back North towards Dublin where we had been recommended to visit a lovely little place called Dalkey. Up on arriving we thought we had better find somewhere to stay and following... More

My husband and I visit Druid Lodge every time we are in the Dublin area. It is a beautiful location, overlooking the ocean. You couldn't ask for a more relaxing place, yet hop on the DART (a five minute walk) and you are in the middle of Dublin! Ken and Cynthia are lovely, kind people and we enjoy spending time... More

Was visiting my cousin locally and other friends of his had stayed here and enjoyed it. Spacious room and bathroom in this unique property full of fascinating collectables. Slept like logs as it was quiet and peaceful. I should have asked for the sea view- will know next time. Our hosts were very friendly and welcoming and served us a... More

Druid Lodge is a fantastic bed & breakfast in a very affluent part of Dublin. It was a brilliant find, particularly if you're looking to escape the city centre, and don't fancy staying in those bland chain hotels that are ubiquitous on the edge of motorways. For starters, the view is magnificent (you can see the Irish Sea from your... More

We needed to stay some where near Dalky. I normal use Sawdays to select accommodation as we have never been disappointing. This old period house is in a lovely part of Dublin, both Bono and Enya live down the road. The house has so much character. Ken & Cynthia are both lovely and have done a fantastic work restoring this... More

We stayed here for one night for my wife's birthday. We were made feel very welcome and were given a very large suite. The place is full of interesting art and historical objects, and is generally full of character. Co-owner Ken, who comes from Vancouver, Canada gave us some background to the house and was very friendly. Breakfast was excellent,... More
