Beautiful hostel, very convenient location, 5 mins by tram to O'Connell street, 10 by bus to College Green/Grafton Street. Bit strange that it isn't allowed to bring your own drinks. Comfy beds. Bathrooms are all located at same floor. Highly recommended!

New & modern are two words I'd use to describe this hostel. Everything was above average compared to most hostels I've stayed in throughout europe. I'd definitely stay with generator again. Their services met my standards... when compared to other hostels I've stayed in...there isn't anything I'd complain about at generator dublin. - the location could be closer to town......

This was such a great hostel. Went there for St Paddy's day. Staff were great. The beds were absolutely amazing. I have never slept in a hostel let alone a hotel with beds as compfy as they were. Easily recommend them.

We booked a room with 4 Single beds, like shown in the picture with Check in at 2 p.m. .
When we arrived they told us earliest Check in Time is 15:30.
Then we get a room with two Bill beds. They dont have rooms like Shown on the picture.
They get very unfriendly And Arent Willing to send us...

Stayed as couple in private room for 2 days
Pros:
As many mentioned, security is good since you have to use the keys to enter everywhere and security cameras at many points
Wifi is free (although quality is poor)
Snack bar is not too bad, nice to have if you don't want to go outside.
Front desk is generally helpful...

I think this place seduces a lot of young travelers with its sleek, spacious lobby. This new hostel is within walking distance of the key tourist sites in Dublin. I shared a double bedroom with a friend which had 2 single beds. All the furnishings were clean and modern.
