Plaza is a hotel in the surroundings of Dublin (40 min with public transportation to city-center). Friendly, but unhelpful staff, quite average breakfast (coffee and tea cans were often mixed with each other, the result - tea tasted like coffee and vice versa). Loud at night if you have a room facing the road, in other case - quite O.K... more

The only positive thing I can say about this hotel is that the staff was very nice. Other than that, it was terrible. When we got to the hotel, the elevators were broken. Normally, I wouldn't mind walking up and down three flights of stairs, but after a 3 hour bus ride, it was not what I wanted to do.... more

I stayed here twice recently. The twin room cost €50 for the night, very good value for Ireland. The room was spacious and clean but a bit old fashioned. The bathroom was lovely, it had that feeling of luxury unlike the room. My main criticism is the noise at night time, I am a light sleeper and did not get... more

We have just returned from a weekend in the Plaza Hotel Tallaght . Arrived Friday evening , parked in underground garage & discovered that the lift was out of order . Carried luggage up a floor to reception , check-in was reasonably efficient . Had to carry luggage up a further 2 floors to a decent sized room with a... more

Stayed here on business a few nights back and had Room 323, perfectly fine double room with TV and large bathroom etc for under 50 Euro, cannot comment on the breakfast as had room only - Grumpys bar is handy enough for a few beers as well, and the hotel is only 5 minutes walk away from Tallaght Luas stop..... more

The wallpaper is dirty and the walls are paper thin, some of the rooms have doors between them which connect them, its so horrible. We mite as... more

In fairness I paid €60 for a twin room and an extra tenner per person for breakfast so it's not expensive...BUT....it IS run down, and a bit tatty as per another review, and it needs a good wipe too...our bathroom had a few unwelcome hairs in it which is a big no for me. The sheets were clean, the location... more

A Landmark building in Tallaght! We have experienced friendly and efficient check-in in the medium sized mezzanine level lobby at the Plaza. We have taken the lift up to the second floor to find our room no. 211 in above average 4 star condition. The Floor carpets had been green, while our room carpet had been red. The room itself... more

We were just thankful we were only stopping over and only there for one night. The place seemed generally very run down and tatty. The room was cramped and old looking. I would give it 2*, certainly not 4*. more

We booked a conference room for a meeting and also several rooms for overnight stay. Everything was taken care of down to the last detail and I don't believe this Hotel could be beaten for price, service, location. The staff were courteous and helpful, even the chamber maids (and men) were smiley and friendly and the whole atmosphere of the... more
