I don`t really use to write reviews about the hotels I stay (what is a bit selfish, I know, once I always come to read them before book), but I think this hotel was a big plus during my time in Dublin and deserved it. The place is tidy and the staff friendly. They have a fast wi-fi connection and... More

This place is utterly infested with BED BUGS. Stayed the night in July 2014 and woke up in the middle of the night itching, and they were crawling all over my husband and I. Management wouldn't take any responsibility, and claimed they didn't know about the issue. Since I have experienced bed bugs before, I looked at the mattress, which... More

Dear Reviewer, Many thanks for your review. We actively encourage our guests to write reviews, as it is a fantastic way to highlight any shortcomings in our establishment, which will assist us in taking immediate corrective action where appropriate. However, every now and then we come across some reviews that are regretfully misleading and highly unfair. Yours most certainly falls... More

good location for hotel. about 20-30mins walk to city centre, same again to Phoenix Park. Staff were very friendly and helpful. Rooms clean. our room was at the top of the stairs. bit noisy with the reception phone ringing during the night and people coming and going.

Really bad experience Please don't go this sort of hotel . The rooms are stinky e the carpet is very dirty . Good bed but the scandalous breakfast smelly rooms small bathrooms gave us a really bad impression and compromise our vacation . You have to pay also the parking 5 euro x night

I stayed in the Charleville Lodge with my partner for just the one night- we paid €80 (£65?). Upon arrival, we were allowed to check in slightly early which was a bonus for us as we'd been on a ferry for hours so were exhausted. Please bare in mind that if you use the car park, it's an additional €5... More

I visted here as a staycation which was booked last minute (yes, I live in Dublin!). This was the best value hotel near the centre that included breakfast so it seemed like a good choice. Some observations: -Room and bathroom were standard-sized. -Bed was very comfortable. -Room was very clean. -All of the staff we dealt with were friendly and... More

smallest room I have ever stayed in and the window turned out to be a fire door that was partly overgrown. used aftershave to disguise the unused smell that you sometimes get in an old house. location was prefect for my purpose although there seemed to be a lot of activity in around the area as the night went on... We stayed 2 nights at the end of our stay in Ireland. The hotel is cramped, care-worn and slightly over used. We just started laughing with each other when we noticed things that were just hanging by a thread,, such as door knobs. There was barely enough room to walk around the end of the bed, and since that was... More

The hotel was excellent - close to the Zoo and a short bus ride from just outside the hotel to the centre of the city and the museums etc. All the staff were extremely helpful and jolly - a real pleasure. Thanks

I stayed here for four nights and while the hotel itself is very nice I was a bit disappointed with the room and the location. I arrived early in the morning and the hotel didn't have a formal, secure place to store my luggage so I left it basically in the lobby which was a bit of a risk. Thankfully... More
