Stayed here for 2 nights for a stag do this month. Room needs updating but was good enough considering the price you pay. Staff polite and helpful. Breakfast was good, costs 9.50€ or there are plenty of other cafes which are within walking distance for less! A taxi into the city centre costs about 10€. Check out is at 12:00.

Me and my friend stayed here for a weekend away to Ireland. Staff were friendly and incredibly helpful. The rooms were pretty basic and could use a little work, for example the door knob on our bathroom was pretty loose but that aside it was a nice place to stay. I would go again

Stayed here 18th to 20th May 2015. There is a nice feel about the hotel, quite quaint. We stayed in room 35, facing the main road. I'm not sure if the rooms are just single glazed, but the noise could get quite loud at times. There wasn't much space for clothes (although I was only there for 3 days I... More

Only 25 minute walk to o'connell street and well worth the 60 pound a night for 2 people compared to the hotels around the centre and Temple bar charging 180+ per night area is a residential area I didn't feel like it was a dodgy area though we walked too and from o'connell steeet and walk too from dublin zoo... Area is a bit dodgy so be careful. Bus stop outside 1 min down road that takes you straight into town. Good thing about it. I would avoid room 20 and 35. Not good. cracked tiles in bathroom, mouldy bath, dripping tap, rubbish shower (hardly any pressure & took a while to heat up), not enough towel's for 2 people.... More

Charleville Lodge is a lovely hotel in a great location. The hotel was much cheaper than most as it is away from the city centre in a quieter area. Having said this, the city centre is only a ten minute bus ride away from the hotel. Phoenix park and Dublin zoo can also be reached by bus but are only... More

****do not stay here**** horrible place and owner is vile. Staff ok not worth money. If ur on budget there's loads of brilliant hostels in the city. Location is ok but not worth it either. Bad experience

If your looking for reasonable budget accommodation just that little bit out of the centre then this place would be fine. Staff are lovely and breakfasts are great. Accommodation was tired and needs a refurb but was clean. Shower was good and twin room was plenty big enough. Was on ground floor looking out onto carpark which proved a little... More

Stayed here because I heard so many good things. Staff were hilarious and the stay was just great overall. Food and hygiene were of the highest quality and every request we had was fulfilled with no hassle. Would definately stay here again.
