Had booked a twin room here for 1 nights stay on the 10th of July 2014 but had to cancel my stay early on the 10th (very short notice) due to an emergency. I emailed waterloo and explained this in an email and I was advised to cancel my booking through booking.com which of course should have incurred a charge... More

As has been said, the location of the lodge is good. Waking distance (15/20) mins from city centre and bus stop at the end of the drive. We had three adults in a family room and the room was a good size (although odd shaped). The TV signal was poor, but watchable. Good bathroom facilities and complimentary toiletries. The best... We stayed at the Waterloo lodge in July 2014. The staff are very nice and friendly. The room was large and decent size bathroom. There is no a/c and it was unseasonably warm in July for Dublin, but we opened the windows and kept comfortable - only couldn't keep out the early morning light. There is no lift except for... More

I stayed for three days and will definitely come back. Waterloo lodge may not be the most central place in Dublin but if you are looking for relaxing days it is perfect. The staff is always in a good mood and very friendly. It lies in a not to busy street and is close to the south canal. If you... More

The lodge was comfortable. The breakfasts were quite good. The staff was friendly & helpful. The only complaint I had was I had reserved an off street parking space at the lodge ahead of time and when I arrived with the rental car, all the spaces had been taken. I was then given a slip of paper to put in... More

My overall impression of this B&B is that it has seen better days. The photos on the various booking sites are misleading as they are not reflected in reality. The house was very stuffy, the quality of the "continental" breakfast very poor and the house was not in great repair. Very overpriced for the quality of the accommodation. The staff... More

The lodge itself could do with some TLC that being said a very warm and friendly lady met me at reception and advised that they had only recently purchased the property. I was brought to a room at the top of the property. The elevator was for luggage or disabled travellers but was not accessable due to being full -... More

The staff at this B&B where really friendly and the breakfast was great. The only thing about this B&B is it is very dated. The rooms are very dated especially the bathroom. When I went to open the bedside cabinet in our room the handle came off and I couldn't get it on again as it wouldn't fit. It is... More

walking distance from mostly everything you want to go - very polite and helpful staff - delicious breakfast - Starbucks and restaurants round the corner - friendly atmosphere - very quiet - limited parking capacity on the premises, meter parking in the vicinity
