Pros- good location, normal (read small) sized room, dinner included in price Cons- room was gross!! Felt gross walking around bare foot or in shower. Didn't feel clean. Very loud at night (as to be expected). Would not have stayed here due to lack of cleanliness. more

Dear Mo_UsaTravel_Ivr_ I am surprised and disappointed to read that you didn’t find our rooms to be clean. The hotel achieved ‘Excellence’ in the Accommodation Excellence Standards which was awarded but the Irish Accommodation Services Industry. Plus the feedback on our cleanliness is very good. But I will certainly look into it further with our Accommodation team. I am glad...

This hotel is really centrally located and the location is great for business travellers and tourists alike - but it REALLY needs to be updated. The rooms are bright and clean and obviously got a half hearted make-over in recent years, but it wasn't a well done job. The bathrooms and the foyer etc could really do with an update.... more

Dear VDU, Thanks for your review on Trip Advisor. While you mentioned that we are nothing special, I am glad that you picked up on the things that we consider special about Temple Bar Hotel, which is our fantastic location, clean rooms and great breakfast! For me personally these are the most important things in a hotel especially as we...

GET WITH IT!!!!! MR. GHETHIN I would like to complain about the appalling attitude incompetance and complacency of the hotel staff i unfortunately encountered on my stay on 1st june 2009 and the subsequent lack of aknowledgement, care and ability to put a wrong doing right. Quite how somebody with such a responibility can flagerantly pass his problems on without... more

Dear fi_connie, I apologise that you feel this way about the hotel and staff. Please contact me directly to resolve this issue. I did talk to another lady from your group but not with you. Kind regards, Finbar Gethins, General Manager.

I read the reviews, which really don't do the place justice. When booking, I asked for a quiet room ( had to be up early for the ferry), and we were given top floor, on the inside of the building. Couldn't hear a thing! The location is fantastic, right in the heart of Temple Bar by Hardrock Café. Dublin is... more

Dear Graham & Sarah, Many thanks for such a glowing review of Temple Bar Hotel! One of the most rewarding parts of working in a hotel is listening to positive guest feedback so I have passed your feedback onto all the staff in the hotel including Oscar. Also, it’s great to hear feedback on our quiet rooms for a change!...

Well I read all the reviews and took earplugs, but still a few floors up with earplugs in the early hours of the morning I could feel the base of the music through the bed and the noise from the club downstairs. I stayed in Temple Bar, I expected noise and I largely expected to be amongst that noise just... more

Dear Uratargetmarket, I’m glad to hear you were aware of the possibility of some noise before you arrived due to the fact that we are so centrally located and that you came prepared with earplugs! There are a lot of Stag and Hen parties in the area which adds to the buzz and atmosphere that makes Temple Bar what it...

My husband and I (early-30s) stayed at this hotel in May 2009. The location of this hotel is great - right in the heart of Temple Bar, close to Trinity College, and within walking distance of many other sights. The room was basic, but clean and spacious. We got a great mid-week rate (70 E). As you might expect from... more

Dear Ren0023, Being in my early 30s also I understand why you stayed in Temple Bar Hotel as it is the perfect hotel to stay in for young people who are coming to Dublin and want to stay right in the heart of the city. It is also great for the young at heart who want to experience the unique...

I had sent clients there before and my friend has highly recommended it to me in the past so I was excited to stay there! The front desk staff were super nice and very funny ! For all of you who complain about the noise... umm... ITS TEMPLE BAR! WHAT DO YOU EXPECT! Go get a hotel somewhere else, you idiots! Anyway... this hotel was great! This was an average hotel. We stayed here because we got a reduce rate for the night through a promotion our car insurance company was running. Check in was fast and efficient and staff at reception were friendly and helpful. We requested a quiet room because we had read from previous posters here that it can be noisy. Our room... more

I was hesitant about staying at this hotel after reading some of the reviews as far it being noisy and not too clean but I stayed at this hotel from April 24th until May 1st and I was very happy with my stay.
