The hotel is just off Dame St so is convenient for all sightseeing including Temple Bar without the noise that comes with that area. The rooms are a good size and the receptionist efficient and welcoming. A big bonus is the Library bar on the first floor.- lovely atmosphere and décor. We would stay here again

We were rebooked after on our hotel overbooked. Average stay with older style accommodation, but beds were comfortable and room clean. Only issue was street noise units very late even on a Sunday night until about 1am. Very close location for Temple Bar and shopping.

We went off to Dublin as a party of four, all friends together & stayed in The Central Hotel 9th August. The Hotel is aptly named as it really is in the Centre of everything...a very short walk took you to Temple Bar area and a bit further on took you to O'Connell Street, shoppers heaven. I have to say... More

Stayed here for three nights over the course of my wedding and I was extremely disappointed. While the location is good and the Library Bar is a peaceful spot, everything else was unpleasant. Sadly, we paid quite a bit for a noisy, stuffy and small room. As others have noted, the staff were unfriendly, ignored us while we were checking... More

What a great location to have stayed in during our trip to Dublin. It was right in the middle of everything. It was a bit noisy a night, but hey...it's DUBLIN. Our room was HUGE with an enormous modern bathroom to contrast with the much more traditional room. Very nicely decorated. A nice touch was having a really, really relaxing... More

Yes, the hotel can be noisy at night but we stayed so busy all day that we were tired at night and slept great! Location is amazing and staff was very helpful with recommendation, directions and bright smiles and greetings every time our group of 11 passed through the lobby! Hotel is clean, beds were comfortable and I would stay... More

For the ridiculous price of £170 for 1 night I was not impressed. Room was tiny. Breakfast not included. No coffee. Tea cups and spoons were dirty. No hot water in the morning. Noisy as hell outside untill well into the night (though admittedly that's not the hotels fault) And when checking out the woman at the desk neither spoke... More

Dear Chieraa, Thank You for taking the time to write Your review. We take the problem of noise very seriously, but since the building is listed we are not allowed to put triple glazed windows. Also we are aware of this issue and trying to solve the problem with street noise. Hotel also has few rooms not facing the street... More

Most reviewers mention that the hotel is very well located, but that it is noisy at night. Both statements are generally true. The location is superb. It is one block from Dame Street on the corner of South Great George's Street and Exchequer Street. It takes up the block between South Great George's and Dame Court on Exchequer. The room... More
