Stayed a Sunday night. Hotel was in an ok location near bus routes and not too far from the DART train service. The room was heavily discounted the night I stayed (Sunday) and for the price it was good enough value. The inside is quite run-down. Carpets are threadbare in the stairs and I saw no lift. The room was... more

The staff at this hotel are really friendly and helpful which is the only good thing about it. the place is pokey, reeks of stale smoke, has threadbare carpets, no lift, tiny rooms, broken glass panes, loose bathroom tiles.... all in all neglected. my friend and i decided to console ourselves with a full irish breakfast. it arrived virtually inedible... more

The location was nice, but if they try to put you in room #63, run away fast! This room is directly under the staff quarters and promptly at 6am every day, the stomping and door slamming will wake you. We complained at the front desk but were laughed at and told "it's probably a ghost." The location is about a... more

I stayed here at the end of October, as I decided to take mum to Dublin for a few days as I had never been. The hotel was excellent location wise. So easy, 15 mins in a cab from the airport. Room nice although no bath, and unfortunately mum called the beds, and won the better mattress!!!! none the less,... more

We were visiting our daughter who is working and attending school in Dublin for the Fall Semester. We needed a place to stay near the City Center of Dublin because we needed to meet our daughter at Leinster House the next day. We had not arranged accommodations in advance (big mistake) but we found the Lansdowne through the booking services... more

I stayed in the Landsdown Hotel on Monday 07th April. I had a meeting in Landsdown road Stadium, this is the only reason why i would have used this hotel due to the close proximity of the grounds. My PA rang up and made the reservation. She was quoted €75.00 for a single room. On check out i was charged... more

My wife and I have just spent 3 days at the Lansdowne Hotel. I had booked our holiday trip well in advance and had only read the other reviews about a week before we were due to arrive at the hotel. Having read the reviews on trip advisor I was slightly apprehensive about the hotel. However, we had no problems... more

My wife and i stayed at the Lansdowne Hotel from the 21/10/07 to 25/10/07. On initial arrival the hotel looks good set in the suburbs of Dublin within walking distance to the center ( allow twenty to thirty minutes to walk). We stayed in room 21 on the first floor landing. The room itself on initial view seemed ok, however... more

From the outside quite a nice looking hotel. Woman at check in was lovely but from there it went downhill! We had a suite which was a small room but clean and a nice flat screen tv...the bathroom was basically what must have been a cupboard converted to an ensuite...no bath just a shower and this was supposed to be... more

my daughter and i stayed in this hotel for fours days, from the street the exterior gives you a good impression but once inside our room (twin) was dark, small and the carpets, well, i just kept my socks/shoes on to walk around, the bathroom was old and needs to be gutted and renovated. This hotel is not central as... more
