Nice homely place, quiet. Beds are narrow, so should take separate beds not so called twin. Very nice was the bus stop, and one bus taking from airport to location, near to city center so we walked a lot. Free bicycles at guesthouse was nice touch.

I traveled to Dublin in Octomer 2011 and stayed in Harrington house. Its a peaceful place. just 20 minutes from Center and away from the noise. Staff I think there names aere Urba and Lesly were very helpful. I Booked a bed and i stayed in a single room cause in that season they were not so many people.

I stayed in Harrington House for 2 nights with my boyfriend.
It is a really cute hostel and felt more like a B and B than a hostel.
We had room 1, which was on the top floor. It was really private. The room was a good size, with a comfortable double bed (extra single bed too).
It was very...

While the rooms are small, that can hardly be a complaint considering the price and hey, it is hostel living we're talking about here. the beds and pillows are very comfortable. the sheets and bathroom always clean. they come in and clean up every morning. though talkative, the woman who runs the hostel is very friendly and accommodating.

No heat, dirty linens, will change your room without explanation, no follow through, horrble hours - friendly only because they want your money. DO NOT STAY HERE!!
Harrington House suited us well mainly because it had parking, as well as a reasonable price. Reception was welcoming and the rooms were bigger than expected. The rooms were beautiful, including the bathrooms. The location is not right in the centre but Dublin is very walkable anyway. The only downsides was the noisy trolley car outside, and the rooms could...

We were looking for a double room for a night in Dublin and ended up booking here.
We got there in good time, and compared to other hostels we have stayed in, this felt more like a bed&breakfast as it was quite small. Checking in was efficient but not over-friendly. Some may like this approach, but I prefer a bit...

This is a great hostel. It is budget accomodation but exceeds expectations.
we had two different rooms while we were there, both were very clean, light and comfortable, no complaints at all. nice ensuite with lots of hot water! small but fine for use.
Staff were lovely, made a lot of extra effort to help us.
self service breakfast of...

We spent one night at Harrington House. The room and bathroom were both kind of run down and dirty-looking. Location is a bit of a walk from Temple Bar. We slept fine, despite some loud Scotsmen partying upstairs. Breakfast was ok - cereal, toast, and some meats and cheese. Nothing spectacular, but nothing great either.
My friend and I stayed in this hotel on a shortbreak holiday to Dublin. We had a bit of a bumpy start as the directions the hotel website provided us with had not stated how far exactly "within walking distance of Temple Bar" was. We ended up lugging our suitcases with us for over an hour on a late Friday...
