Myself, my husband, my sister, her fiance, our dad and his fiance went to Dublin together. Due to late planning, this was the only place that could book the six of us at a reasonable price. It is about ten minutes walk from St Stephens Green and just outside the house is a bus stop going to the city centre,... More

Yes, the hostel is an older building, so (in our case-Room 9) especially the ensuite-bathroom was really small, but that's the only complaint about the whole hostel for me! The twin-room itself (one bunk-bed in it) was spacious, including a bedside table, two chairs and a small table. Breakfast was good (reading comments about "having to go to self-service" makes... Easy to get to straight from Dublin airport. Highly recommend hopping onto the number 16 bus as it takes you right nearby. Situated alongside a quiet road opposite a church. Upon arrival the welcoming was a very unpleasant experience. The room was basic, noted a missing tv? The bathroom was dangerous- no shower mat? It is what it is,no thrills. Good... More

On arriving one member of staff was not very welcoming to say the least. The beds were very small and the bathrooms were not great, but I was a good location on a main bus route and if you are not looking to be in a lot its a good cheap solution. Good tip - The no 16 bus goes... More

Stayed here over NYE with 3 friends in a two bunk bed room. The hot water only works between 7am and 10am and at some point in the evening. You are given a fairly sorry looking towel for tour stay. The heating seems unpredictable. The breakfast is very very basic, white bread with toast and jam in pots that are... More

Booked a hostel as it was cheaper for a group of us who were visiting dublin. Hosts were so nice! Attentive and happily aided us with requests. Rooms were so so. Bunk beds were creaky and mattresses were basic. Personally I didn't sleep well due to being uncomfortable. The hairdryer supplied broke and so did the additional one we requested.... More

Myself and three friends, including my girlfriend, are right in the middle of our stay here. On the first night, we got upgraded to a double and a twin room because the heating was broken - this was done with no inconvenience to us. Both were exceptionally comfortable, facilities were clean. The only feature that's a disadvantage is that hot... More

This summer & fall I stayed at the Harrington House Hostel on three separate occasions - in early July, mid July, and early October. The first time was with my parents (80 and 85) and my sister, brother-in-law, and their two children (11 & 14). The second time was myself and my two parents. The third time it was just... More

Airport bus stop right out front was nice. The walk to downtown was a bit long - about 20-30 minutes depending how fast you wanted to walk. But there was food/stores/sights to see much closer to the hostel. The rooms were clean and decent sized. We are a family of 5, so ended up in 2 rooms. The rooms were... More
