We could not believe this place!! The description in a Ireland tour book made it sound wonderful. The only thing that was true was the location. It was right in the middle of the city center! BUT the rest was horrible. First off there was NO ELEVATOR!! We had two bags weighing 48 lbs each, plus two back packs!! Our... More

I stayed at Grafton Guesthouse twice this past month, and I enjoyed both stays, although the second time I was on the top floor, which was a bit of a slog with my suitcase (although one of the cleaning staff kindly offered to help me, which was very sweet.) Both rooms were clean and comfy, had interesting views (the back... More

Cannot fault the friendly staff, though have to point out I came away with a nasty foot of itchy bites from but one night there. Also awoken with yellow stubstance on pillow and my head that was like a varnish coat. Also there's a sign 'still' up from when i actually stayed last year one night 'apologies for work in... More

Stayed in what is described as the penthouse. Top of the hotel with many steps housed a Double bedroom with 2 velux windows that cannot be reached so a pole is provided! Low ceiling concrete beams in the lounge area, mind your head!! A very steep spiral staircase to a room built into the attic with 2 single beds, again... More

Can't really complain because this hotel was the lowest priced in the center area - you get what you pay for. It was either here or an ensuite at a hostel given my budget, and I opted for this, but hostel might have been a better choice. The hotel room was falling apart, bathroom and toilet was really dirty looking... More

Dear guest First of all, thank you very much for reviewing Grafton Guesthouse. Grafton Guesthouse is currently going through a refurbishment program. Our pricing in some way reflects our acknowledgement of the outstanding refurbishment. Our first room will be available very soon. It looks amazing, so please come back and enjoy our brand new room. The location couldn't be better; close to all the main attractions, and with the best restaurants and pubs right around the corner. The rooms look a bit old, but everything is clean. The included breakfast is well facilitated and in a nice restaurant. Book this guesthouse when you want to stay in the best part of Dublin for a reasonable... More

Very central location and single rooms available. It was clean and quiet. It's a little disjointed as you check in at Kelly's Hotel and have breakfast in a restaurant next door but that's not a big deal. Everyone was very friendly and I'd stay there again.

Everything written about this guesthouse is true. It's location is great, the stairs with luggage can be brutal, and there is lots of street noise from Hogans. However, we loved it - well we loved everything but the noise. (The hotel does provide earplugs). The location really couldn't be better. Everything was easily accessible. There were plenty of taxis if... More

I stayed here whilst at work and it was booked for me. Normally stay in Kelly's but I seem to have drawn the short straw. I was in room 14, right at the top of the building in the attic. Basically very shabby. Carpet worn, old furniture that looks like it would be found in a second hand store. The... More
