UPDATE AUGUST 2015. The bed & breakfast (B & B) is located in a spectacular old building, and the collection of rooms, although small, is clean, comfortable and more than affordable. I received a notice from the property that it is undergoing renovations, with the room aesthetic being more minimalist and cool (pictured below.) I can’t wait to return in... More

We stayed just the one night and arrived at around 6pm on a Friday night. This would be perfect if we were 18-35 as the hotel is close to Temple Bar. We stayed in the penthouse which had 80 steps to go up. Not a lot of fun with heavy suitcases. But the apartment was big enough and the teenagers... More

This was my 4th stay here. The best thing about this hotel is the location, easy to find and close to lots of bars, restaurants, shops etc. An easy walk from anywhere you want to go - Temple Bar, Dublin Castle, St Stephen's Green etc. etc. Check in is at Kelly's hotel a few doors further up, and breakfast is... Grafton Guest house is approximately 5-10 minutes walk from Trinity College, where aircoach can drop you. It is located on street full of restaurants, bars and pubs. The area felt safe and rather quiet considering there's lot of pubs around. Reception is open 24/7 and during my stay I met there 2 very friendly and helpful ladies. The room was... More

I got a single room at a great price. I didn't plan to spend time at my hotel except to sleep, so this was perfect. It was like the servants room under the eaves but it had a bathroom so I didn't mind. The location was amazing. Right in the middle of Grafton, which is so much better than the... More

So, I'll start with the positive - the location is pretty great, and the Kelly Hotel (their sister? hotel) were very nice. But that's it. I HATE when a hotel doesn't let you know they are "redecorating"...the hammering began at 7 a.m. The "penthouse" was just upstairs, Room 18 was in pretty bad disrepair, and the cleaning was poor -... We could not believe this place!! The description in a Ireland tour book made it sound wonderful. The only thing that was true was the location. It was right in the middle of the city center! BUT the rest was horrible. First off there was NO ELEVATOR!! We had two bags weighing 48 lbs each, plus two back packs!! Our... More

I stayed at Grafton Guesthouse twice this past month, and I enjoyed both stays, although the second time I was on the top floor, which was a bit of a slog with my suitcase (although one of the cleaning staff kindly offered to help me, which was very sweet.) Both rooms were clean and comfy, had interesting views (the back... More

Cannot fault the friendly staff, though have to point out I came away with a nasty foot of itchy bites from but one night there. Also awoken with yellow stubstance on pillow and my head that was like a varnish coat. Also there's a sign 'still' up from when i actually stayed last year one night 'apologies for work in... More
