Though Dublin is a very pedestrian friendly city, the Grafton Guesthouse, if possible, makes it even more so. Located next to the very popular Hogan's pub, and though, yes, it was VERY noisy on weekends, but with the window closed - we slept thru the night well enough. Popular tourist attractions are within walking distance within 10 mins or less... More

Dublin is expensive, but Grafton Guesthouse gives you value, location, service, modest but clean accommodations, and very nice breakfast included. The location is far enough from Temple Bar to not be crazy, but still within walking distance (as was much of Dublin). Their sister facility, Kelly Guesthouse, is where you check in and it was nice too. Staff were very... More

If you're looking for a clean, comfortable room in a great location, with a friendly staff, this is the place for you. Our room was basic, but comfortable. Nice, modern bathroom, huge towels, and a fluffy duvet cover on the bed. The room is on the smaller side and the TV wasn't a flat screen, but that's hardly the point... More

We loved the Grafton Guesthouse. Both the check-in hotel (a few doors down) and Grafton are walk-ups, so make sure your luggage isn't too heavy or you might have a struggle. The staff were friendly and helpful, and our room was beautiful - the bathroom looked as though it had been recently renovated, and even though we were facing the... More

Dublin is expensive but Grafton Guesthouse gives you a great central location, walking distance to most sights, at a price much lower than average for the area. Close to Trinity College, Temple Bar, etc., and close to many bus routes should you prefer not to walk, it is easy to get around Dublin even in the rain. The breakfast was... More

We had a 6 day stay at Grafton House in Dublin. There is 24 hour service at the reception desk of the nearby Kelly's hotel, but you are on your own at Grafton House. The location is convenient to main attractions and within walking distance of the train and bus stations. If you want the action of the pub scene,... More

The Grafton Guest House is now a satellite of the Kelly Hotel which provides all the central services so the guest house is just a collection of rooms, breakfast (good continental) is in a restaurant over the road. The management seem to be in the process of doing up the hotel but when we stayed the entrance hall and landing... More

We stayed in two different rooms here because of late reservation making on our part. Both rooms were adequate places to catch some shut eye. That's about all. This hotel does not offer much as far as aesthetic beauty. The carpet and wallpaper are a bit of eyesore and one room at the top had its own fan owing perhaps... More

Attached to the excellent Kellys Hotel it is only a matter of time before the owners get around to giving this place a much-needed sprucing up. Check in and out is done through Kellys Reception and it is very clear you've drawn the somewhat shorter straw the moment you walk through the Grafton Gueshouse door. That said; wi-fi and bathroom... We stayed at the Grafton Guesthouse for three nights in June, 2014. Our room was on the 2nd floor (3rd for us Yanks) and no lift. My husband said he thought he was training for an Alfred Hitchcock movie as there were 39 steps. However, the staff and the room were both a pleasant surprise. The room was, well, roomy,... More
