My wife & I stayed at the Clayton Ballsbridge Hotel in Dublin on Sunday 2 August as part of a tour group organized by Brendan Vacations under the Trafalgar Group. This is my 70th TripAdvisor hotel review and I am awarding the Clayton Ballsbridge Hotel the “Worst Yet” award. It is difficult to list all the items that were unsatisfactory... More

Stayed at Clayton hotel, Ballsbridge, Dublin, rooms were clean, lovely location. Easy walk to the city center and quick bus access. The staff were friendly and helpful, food was good, breakfasts were wonderful. At breakfast the staff served patrons at the buffet, guests didn't handle the hot food utensils, a wonderful experience as I prefer no buffets.

They offer free wifi here but if you need it on your laptop like I do for business, forget about it. The connection is so weak and crowded it won't work. Reception told me to wait until after midnight when it becomes less busy! Lol. Thanks Clayton, just what I want to do, send work emails in the wee hours... More

Next door to the British Embassy in a pleasant residential area this is a pretty decent hotel. The rooms are reasonably large, comfortable and the bathrooms nicely refurbished. Go for an 'executive' upgrade if you can - robes and slippers, larger TV with a good selection of beverages ... and a nespresso machine, always a welcome sight :-) The toiletries supplied... More

Back in the Clayton Ballsbridge again ( Bewleys). Very good all round hotel with a very good and helpful staff. I would point out that there is an improvement in service since my last stay at xmass. Reception is very busy but very quick check in with a smile and we even got an upgrade ( thanks ) Food good... This hotel is good too look at from the outside. The rooms are also good. Service levels are great too. Just one caution, paying extra for executive room can be not worth the extra €20 per night. The rooms dont get larger & the view is better from the normal rooms. Ao the extra money is for a coffee maxhine... More

We had stayed at this hotel a few years ago when it was Bewleys but it was tired. It has been totally refurbished to a very high standard with totally new baths, carpets and beds. We upgraded to an Executive King for a nominal fee and were amply rewarded with a lovely room, bathrobes, extra touches that make a hotel... More

I stayed here for two nights during a visit to Dublin. My room was well appointed and clean. Excellent bathroom with lashings of hot water. Staff were friendly and attentive. The hotel is a bus ride into the centre of Dublin (€2.55) with frequent buses passing the door. I paid for car parking, €12 per day, but I believe this... More

Stayed here during a CIE tour. What a lovely hotel. A bit out from Dublin central but on a tour didn't effect us. Lovely clean hotel on beautiful grounds. Lovely staff and great breakfast. Would definately recommend and hope to return next year.

We had stayed here years ago and returned again as it seemed to be one of the most reasonably priced good hotels in Dublin on a busy July weekend. The hotel is large and was extremely busy with the hustle and bustle of summer family vacations, weddings etc. The rooms were of a good standard (clean, well functional) and and... More
