We got a free upgrade to executive room located on a 2nd floor which supposed to be bigger but from our point of view thats the size of a deluxe room. Room and bathroom are neat and clean. Buffet breakfast cost 12€ and great buffet spread - lots of choices like scramble eggs, sausages, hash browns, mini pancakes machine, danish... More

Comfortable hotel, rooms and corridors a bit dark but a nice bright big lobby. Breakfast is a bit like being in the middle of a train station, the quality of food is good and a very wide selection but the size of the room and lack of direction makes it a difficult start to the morning. When you do find... More

Stayed here as the price was reasonable for 2 triple rooms, however be aware it is a fair way out of the city. Both rooms only had 2 towels on checking in. Spoke to reception who said they would bring some more up, unfortunately had to wait till the following morning to get some from the cleaning lady. Wifi was... More

Convenient location a short bus ride from the City centre. The traditional style and ambience gives the hotel a 5 star feel and quality. Comfortable rooms. Check in staff were lovely and very helpful. However sadly gets three stars as the rest of the staff were quite simply sullen and bordering on rude. Particularly breakfast. Such a shame must be... Don't believe the poster who says the WiFi is good. Only works on upper floors and not the bar and restaurant. I have no idea how to regulate the room temperature. The service is slow. I had an empty glass and the staff was tight here at the table and left without asking. It's basic stuff they struggle with.

As the tittle of this review says !! this could be a very fine hotel but the staff have a lot to answer form our experience . we had an incident when checking in (requested early check in) and while I understand that it can not be guaranteed we were told that morning when we called that it should not... This is not a purpose built hotel but rather a conversion so it certainly has character from the outside. It seemed a bit dated on the inside but can't complain about the cleanliness in the room. It was nice to look out at gardens at the front. The best point was the food especially dinner which was very good value... More

Its big and old and kinda run down but that just seems to fit in for some reason. Front office staff standoffish but it seems to fit the general feeling of the place. Breakfast very good but for some reason my rate does not include it, but it should so up I go to reception on several days I stayed... More

We stayed in Dublin for 4 nights and couldn't understand why this hotel was only ranked as a 3 star hotel as it is as good as any 4 star or 5 star that we have stayed in. Rooms were beautiful and spotless - even had a hairdryer with a diffuser much to my delight. The hotel itself was huge... More
