+ Its as the title says clean, cheap and very close to O Connell street. The staff are very friendly - You can hear the rooms next door very clearly, no tea or coffey making facilities in the rooms(you can make them in the bar and bring them up), All in, i didn't mind Barrys. The location and price out... More

After reading other reviews for this hotel we were rather nervous. However....we thoroughly enjoyed our stay and found the staff to be both helpful and friendly. Yes...there is no lift but our bags were carried upstairs for us. There are no tea/coffee making facilities in the rooms but this is provided 24/7 at the reception area....you can carry your beverage... More

We arrived late at night in need of B&B for 1 night. They had 1 room left on the 3rd floor. The room was very shabby (not shabby chic) no light in the en suite, (not walking back down 3 flights of stairs), plaster peeling off the ceiling. Bar and I use the word loosely only had bottled beer, even... More

I stayed at Barry's with my partner and our experience was so depressing. They don't have WIFI, the luggage room is opened and visitable for anyone (can't be locked), the room and furnitures were dirty and dusty and lot else. When we went to sign out from the room, only stupid reasons been given as a reason to our bad... More

Now when i read a couple of comments after staying there, its a little bit confusing. People are expecting from the 2 star hotel 4... More

I actually don't know where to start! I stayed here for two nights, to be polite, I won't be returning. I don't always take a great deal of notice when reading reviews as different people have different opinions and expectations, however I wish I had taken notice on this occasion. Upon arrival the lady on reception appeared to be welcoming... More

I'm a tour guide and yes, if you want something generic with a lift, forget Barry's. I stayed here to relax. The room was a double, nicely decorated and the view of the old Dublin of James Joyce and Brendan Behan. Barry's consists of two 18th century houses, but as I climbed upstairs with two suitcases, a man appeared to... More

Hotel is really poor. I picked it because it was cheap and had a bar and pool table. Bar opened at 5 and sold bottles of bud. Yes just one beer nothing else at all. As for the pool table there was none. The pictures are old. The pool table went years ago I was told. The room was falling... More

I've stayed in Barry's hotel for a business trip, I personally think that is totally overpriced. I had a double room for my self and i could barely move inside, the bathroom was very small and i had also difficulties accessing the shower as the gap in between the wall and the shower door was probably 40cm. the only good...
