We've booked this hotel because it was the only one available on easter weekend. I thought, okay if we're paying more money to stay in a hotel rather than a hostel it would be worth the money. But when we got here the guy at the front desk threw us the key asked unpolitely for out money, all that while... More

We approached this stay with some trepidation after reading a lot of bad reviews but we were pleasantly surprised by our stay here. Our room was very clean and the bed was so comfortable. The bathroom was also very clean but a little small. We had no problem with noise and slept like logs all night. The staff we spoke... More

The manager downstairs was rude. My friend wanted to use the bathroom on a Sunday morning and I did not know no guest was allowed. He caught us and instead just explain to us"sorry guest no guest upstairs", he keep asking my friend to "read the sign", "didn't you read the sign?", which is the hotels policy. A manager should... First of all there is no parking so my boyfriend had to pay 24 euro to park in a carpark a distance away. Hotel has a confusing layout and a serious amount of steps to get to the room.when we got to the room our key wouldn't open the door after nearly 5 minutes trying and dreading the walk down... More

The hotel is in a great position, a few minutes walking to the city center. The rooms are cosy, warm and worth the cheap price. Anyhow there is no hot water in the shower, it can be a big issue for long stays. Wifi only in the reception room. Suggested for a few nights if you are looking for a... More

The hotel has good points and bad points, it is a nice old building or I imagine it was but it is need of some serious cleaning! The staff were helpful but really only if you directly asked them something. The room was fairly nice and clean but the bathroom was horrible, there were cracked tiles in the bathroom and... More

Stayed at Barrys hotel fearing the worst after reading some of the reviews on here and i was glad i did. We did not have one issue with the place apart from the room being too warm, being mid Jan this wasn't too much of an issue. The location is pretty much perfect. Five minutes max will have you in... I stayed at this hotel for just one night and if we had had it booked for any longer we would have cancelled and found somewhere more suitable. The hotel has no lifts, so we had to carry heavy suit cases up many flights of stairs. Once we got to the room, there is no central heating in the rooms,... More

In general we were pleased with the hotel. It was clean, nice room and staff friendless. The only fault I had there was no central heating. This was 19 December. It was cool. The heating wasn't on. I spoke to a member if staff and they got me a heater for the room, an electric plug in. There was no... More
