I had to attend an 8am meeting in this hotel so chose to stay there rather than get up too early and have a 90 minute or more commute to Dublin. It suits if you have business in the south east of the city. All the facilities you need, decent size room, adequate breakfast. I asked for a quiet interior... more

I stayed here on holiday for 3 nights (2009). Overall, a great experience. Pros: - Reasonable price; large, clean and comfortable rooms. A great option for a budget traveler. Everything worked (toilet, fan, trouser press, tea kettle). - Location. It's not a city centre hotel, but it's close enough to everything - around a 15-20 min walk to the city... more

A work colleague & I stayed here a few months back, & about the best you can say is the place is reasonably cheap. The location is really grim & I've since found out that there's a methadone clinic right nearby as well as a half-way house! Great! If only we'd known this beforehand. The room was at least clean,... more

Whatever the adverts say about the location of this hotel IT IS MUCH TOO FAR AWAY TO WALK ANYWHERE. The location is awful, the breakfast is something beyond bad and so is the waitress service. This is the first time I have ever felt the need to warn others!! The hotel is way over priced and way over rated. more

The rooms are clean and large with 2 double beds. Slightly too warm and I like the heat. If you open windows it's very noisy as Pearse Street is a busy throughfare! Very good choice of TV channels. Bathrooms was a bit outdated but functional. Very dimly lit! The drink and food dispensers on were very poorly stoked (e.g. one... more

I stayed in this hotel in October 2005. As a lot of people have said in their reviews, it is true that this hotel is not really in the city centre, but it still isn't awfully far away for the centre. There is a bus stop very near to the hotel, from where you can easily to the center of... more

I have stayed at this hotel on a number of occassions for work. Previous reviewers are right that, if you are a tourist, it is far from being central, but it wasn't too far from my office. Colleagues said that the area isn't very safe at night, but I didn't experience any problems. The rooms are fine, the beds comfortable,... more

Having organised a trip for over 50 people, I was pleased with the way this Holiday Inn managed to take the reservations for all of these people individually. (It was a business trip with everyone booking and paying through their own organisations.) The hotel isn't located very well, but it suited us well. At the end of a long exhausting... more

Normally you would book a hotel from a major chain if you do not want to take a risk of ending up in a place that is pretty bad. As it was my first visit to Dublin I decided to go for the Holiday Inn. Now that was a mistake. First of all I booked a nonsmoking that was not... more

Was slightly concerned after reading some of the other reviews but we had a good stay. We stayed in a family room (double double) which was fine, bathroom was also OK. Hotel seemed to have more character than the Holiday Inns I am used to. Location is not bad, some very Irish pubs nearby and as for the walk into... more
