The staff was wonderfully friendly and helpful! We stayed at the Dergvale one night, then left to overnight in Belfast, then came back for a final night at the Dergvale. Staff gladly stored some of our baggage, so we could travel to Belfast with a lighter load. Our bags were waiting for us in our second room when we arrived... More

My husband booked this hotel as we were going to the Ireland Scotland match. When we arrived, to be honest I was pretty disappointed with how the hotel looked from the outside but this is just to keep the secret from the masses! Go inside and you enter a little palace! The rooms are lovely with everything you need and... More

The hotel is quite charming if a little dated (skeleton key for the room was a little odd). But the bed was terrible! The mattress was completely shot - lumpy, sagging, uneven. We felt springs almost poking through in places. There is no way they couldn't have known how bad it was. If we had been staying there longer than... More

This is a great little place to stay, nice location, and a decent price...and very clean, we had a problem with our shower when we arrived, and the guy who checked us in (Jerry) sorted us out without a hitch, overall it is a good clean, friendly place to stay,

Would highly recommend the Dergvale I was given a warm welcome ,it close to the tourist attractions, really helpful staff. The Dergvale was clean, and the bed was so comfortable and quiet Breakfast was a real treat setting me up for the day. Cup of tea and biscuit were given when I came in late from a long day bus... Hotel is located about a 15 minute walk from the Liffey. The staff were friendly, nice breakfast and the hotel was clean, (& open 24 hours.) Could do with a little updating, but a family friendly hotel.

My boyfriend and I arrived at Dergvale Hotel without any booking, and we were offered a spacious bedroom on the top floor for 2 nights. We think is a lovely and quiet place to rest well not very far from the city centre. The floor is cover with carpet, so you can't hear steps in the middle of the night,... More

Arriving at the hotel well before check-in (in fact it was about 9.30am and they were still serving breakfast to their guests) we were greeted with a warm welcome. Our bags were stored until our room was ready and a complimentary tray of tea and biscuits was provided. When we returned to the hotel late afternoon we were shown to... More

What an amazing hotel. I'm writing this review and I don't leave until tomorrow but it's such a great place to stay. The woman who runs/owns the hotel is one of the nicest hoteliers I have ever met. The rooms are ideal and very spacious. I couldn't believe that they change the towels and made the bed everyday which is... More

Very helpful and nice staff. tasty breakfast (more menus to choose from). clean rooms, clean towels every day (although bit small). Also the bathroom was bit small, but ok. No lift. The bed was comfortable, there was enough place to store our things. The hotel is in a very convenient location (max 5 minutes from O'Connell street & Henry Street).... More
