The Hotel is undergoing repairs and the lift is out, so if you want a room with a balcony (half a balcony really with no place to sit) you are trekking up 4 flights of stairs. I came in at 2am, as you do in Dublin, and had to wait outside for at least 20 minutes for someone to let... More

This hotel is situated in the center of Dublin, and has a beautiful view of the river. Room where I lived was clean and nice, but somehow cold. Parties at night club under the hotel make some noise and can disturb. Wi-fi requires registration with email and sometimes you need to register again. In the whole, I was glad to... More

Booked this hotel at the last minute . Hotel looks dated from the outside. The reception staff were very friendly , from the day staff to the night porter. I liked the fact that they gave you a sighed cardboard card that you showed to get your room key each time you came back to the hotel. Saving you from... More

I haven't stayed in the hotel so I can only comment on the bar. I went last weekend with some friends for a drink after dinner and found it a cold place with absolutely no atmosphere. There was a guy playing a guitar and the sound was blasting through the speakers. It actually sounded like someone being tortured! Unbelievably bad... More

Hotel is really central. That is its only redeeming point. Me and 3 friends stayed for the weekend in November. Both rooms were dirty, grubby and in need of serious refurbishment. Our room stank of cigarette smoke, even after we left the window open all day to vent the room. Would be one thing if the rates were cheap, but... More

This bar does not portray a warm Irish welcome, infact the opposite. Our group were met by a barbaric doorman who's sole intention was to determine where we have travelled from before we were allowed entrance to the bar!! This was closely followed with an abrupt " refusal of entrance" for no obvious reason. We would not recommend this bar... More

This a review of the hotel bar not the Hotel As an Irishman, I know Temple Bar is expensive, so I expected my pint of Carlsberg to be about €5.50. Never in my life I thought the price would be €6.30, yes €6.30. This is was ridiculous price and the most expensive pint, I ever had in Dublin. I am... More

Stayed here in Oct 2013 for one night. Upon checking in we found receptionist rude abrupt and unfriendly. When we got to our room our first impression was it looked shabby and outdated and totally not what we expected for this price range. Noise level was as though our beds were out in the middle of the street and the... More

I think you should get a lot more at this price range. Very good location but mediocre hotel. Staff not very friendly. No tea-making facilities. Room was spacious though heating on too high. Less noisy than I expected, considering there is a bar and nightclub below. I was on the third floor. Breakfast was very basic. Also, charged twice for... More
