I was hugely impressed with the price of this hotel when I booked for two nights in January, it was quite a last minute booking and having heard a lot of talk about Dublin being hugely expensive it was a nice surprise. I would recommend this hotel for anybody who is pretty easy going and simply visiting the city as... More

We stayed at the Abbey Hotel for 3 nights, as it was cheap. On arrival we were given a room with no hot water and cracks under the paint work. To be fair, when we complained about it the staff did move us to another room immediately. The other room's decor was much better. Whichever room you are in, there's... More

Booked the Abbey as it seemed to be the closest hotel to where we needed to be...big mistake. I was so disappointed with it that I had to ask for my money back and find another hotel late at night. From the warn down carpets. The smell of weed on every floor and the 10year old paint job and thats... More

Visited the hotel last week. Positives, the location is excellent, room was clean, bathroom good and clean, bed comfy. Negatives, breakfast, (bread, cheese, ham and cornflakes isn't continental). Bar wasn't open all night like advertised, night porter said he was busy cleaning so we couldn't have a another drink. To be considered. Your are staying on a tram line its... More

My boyfriend and I stayed here on a Groupon deal. Before we went we read some reviews and thought it can't be that bad!! It was perfectly adequate for what we paid. The room was clean, the bed comfy and there was hot water. The trams that run outside the hotel were quiet noisy. They slow down towards the small... More

I've been working in Dublin recently with my workmates and wanted somewhere decent to stay but not to expensive. The Abbey fitted our criteria quite well as it was close to our workplace and was also located within 5 mins walk to the Temple Bar area as well as Shopping areas. We had several of the meals from the menu... More

I came to attend a concert at the Academy so I was just looking for somewhere to sleep after. I start with the positives; we did have a room at the back so we both slept right through the night and the beds were brilliant. It's not the worst place you could stay. Now, the not so good; when we... More
