Just stayed for two nights over weekend. It was the only available hotel left. It wasn't too bad, but very basic. We were in the older part and there was quite a stale smell in the bedroom/bathroom and beds were very very small as doubles go and full of springs. The old part of the Hotel has some dreadful, threadbare rooms in need of TLC. The attacahed Restaurant was the king of microwaved evening food. A Gordon Ramsey nightmare. more

Because our room wasn't ready until after 3.30pm to his credit the manager on duty upgraded us to a room in the executive wing which was excellent. We enjoyed the facilities, particularly the leisure centre. Meals in the bar were fine and service friendly and efficient. Stayed in June 2008. Foreign staff in bar spoke to each other in some eastern european language, like poor russian. Had 2 nice Irish staff at breakfast, Birdy & Des, very nice. Need to stop foreign staff in bar sneering at customers. Lilly in bar very nice more
