Used the Aircoach, 14 EUR adult return. 45-50 mins from airport Terminal 1, 15-20 mins more return. 5-10 mins easy walk to Merrion Square / Park, 5-10 more to Trinity and Molly Malone statue. Nice and friendly staff, all of them. Bathroom: A mix between modern and old-fashioned style. Separate taps for hot and cold water. Not height-adjustable shower head.... More

Dear Guest, Many thanks for taking the time to share your experience at The Schoolhouse Hotel, I am delighted to see that you would return and we shall look forward to welcoming you back. For the safety of our guests we have put the hairdryer at the dressing table in the bedroom rather than in the bathroom. The original schoolhouse... More

Lovely establishment in the Ballsbridge area away from all the noise of the city center but close enough to walk practically anywhere. I really enjoyed this place. The staff were very responsive and respectful of my wishes and the rooms are extremely well-appointed; in this way, this hotel is a real value in my opinion, especially in Dublin. Michelle and... I have stayed at the Schoolhouse many times in the last few years, mainly on business. It is located a short walk from the city centre beside a pretty canal. It is steeped in Irish history, having been involved in the 1916 rising. The hotel is small and personal, a refreshing change from the corporate chain hotels. I can't recommend... More

Dear Guest, I would like to firstly thank you for taking the time to write the review. We are very lucky to have such a unique property which is indeed steeped in history. We were generally pleased with this hotel. The decor was great and the breakfast was delicious. However the housekeeping was slightly disappointing. The hotel restaurant was tasty but had almost no vegetarian options. Staff were efficient. The themed rooms were interesting and informative. Our room was in the basement at the end of the hallway and therefore quite dark at... More

I and my parents stayed at the Schoolhouse Hotel for two nights at the beginning of August 2011. It was a last minute arrangement having been severely disappointed by a hotel elsewhere. The Schoolhouse could not have been a more different experience; the staff were extremely helpful in arranging our stay, providing detail on the local area and about the... More

Just back from a great long weekend break in Dublin. Trip was complimented by our stay in the Schoolhouse Hotel. All staff were so friendly and helpful - nothing was too much trouble. Rooms - clean, comfy and spacious. 'Welcome' bottle of wine and box of chocolates were a nice touch. Food - absolutely delicious. Hotel is only 10-12 euro... More

This hotel was perfect. Our room was beautifully decorated, very comfortable and clean. The gourmet restaurant was superb and the pub was great fun(good food too). Breakfast was complete and included hot and cold choices...we loved the eggs and salmon. This hotel is located in a quiet area not far from bus line and central Dublin. It is also on... More
