This was our third stay at the Schoolhouse and it did not fail to impress. The staff are friendly and accommodating. The dinner was superb and Camilla was an absolutely fantastic waitress. Breakfast was as delicious and varied as on previous stays. Excellent value and immaculate room.

We spent 4 happy nights at the Schoolhouse Hotel. The location is good -- not right in the centre of things in Dublin so it's quiet at night. But it is close enough to walk to the things you want to see, like Trinity College or Dublinia. The hotel is indeed a converted school so there are some quirky turns... More

Stayed here with family, 3 kids and 3 adults, mid August. This was a fantastic property and we loved it. Would definitely stay here again if we return to Dublin. Great location, fairly central. Comfortable, clean rooms. Great Irish Breakfast buffet, and the pub was fun. We were there each of the 3 nights we stayed at the Schoolhouse. Lovely... More

This is an old school tastefully made in to a small but cosy hotel. The rooms in the basement are quite dark ( we were in 108) and bathroom needs some updating but on the whole a comfortable and pleasant stay. The staff were great and extremely helpful and pleasant at all times. Restaurant is excellent and large helpings of... More

I had another wonderful stay at the school house. I have stayed there 4/5 times over the years. The rooms at the back are lovely and quiet and so dark. I had a fantastic sleep and felt very alert for my interview the next day. The staff were extremely.helpful and friendly. I didn't hsve time for breakfast but have had... More

This hotel has bags of character - all the bedrooms are named after Irish authors and scholars. Our room was spacious, elegant and really well equipped. We had dinner in the bar which was lively and the food and service was wonderful. Breakfast was served in the beautiful restaurant and it was truly delicious. Fabulous hotel, free parking and located... More

We visited here with VBT bicycle tours, at the end of our trip ( so we didn't bike in Dublin itself). This hotel was an old boarding school, and each room is named for someone in Irish history. A nice touch, because of course you have to look them up and get a bit of a history lesson. Our bed... More

We stayed for 4 nights and will come back to this hotel when in Dublin. The rooms were cozy and clean. Bed was comfortable and did not have wool blankets ( an issue for me at several B&B's). Great location. This area was much quieter than a previous hotel we stayed at in Dublin (seagulls are very active at night... More

We had a wonderful three night stay at this property conveniently located in Dublin. The rooms was very clean with very pleasant furnishings and wonderful bedding. We were pleasantly greeted by the staff at all areas of the establishment which included the restaurant, bar, reception area and the cleaning staff. We could not have asked for more.

We've just returned from a three night stay on a B and B basis in a superking room located on the first floor. The building has been adapted to its current use and clearly thought was given to furnishings and the comfort of guests. The hotel has an old world charm. The public spaces are clean, modern and comfortable and... More
