A superb hotel in an excellent location. It is not in the city centre so it was a little quieter. The building itself is rather beautiful. I loved the big old beams and the high ceiling. The room was clean and tidy and very quiet. Was worried about arriving in rather late after enjoying a night out but was greeted... more

This hotel is within easy walking distance of Dublin city centre and there is a DART station a 5min walk away. The airport bus stops outside. We found the hotel staff friendly and helpful. 02 Arena is a short taxi ride away. We much preferred this hotel to a big 'chain' hotel for its individuality, lovely bar and excellent breakfast.... more

My wife and I spent a week at the Schoolhouse Hotel in early October. I can add very little to what other TA members have said about the hotel. We had an excellent experience at the hotel. The room was good sized, the room was clean, and the breakfast was great. The staff at the front desk were the most... more

Rarely have I stayed in an hotel with such comfort and enjoyment. The staff were friendly, helpful and exceptionally polite. For the first time in many years the rooms were something other than uniform and sterile - the whole arrangement stood out in terms of personality and charm. At last, a hotel that recognises that there ought to be no... more

We went here on an anniversary trip due to the reviews on Tripadvisor. Very good hotel if you don't need to be in the very centre. It's a quiet location with about a 15 min walk to Trinity College or Temple Bar and about the same to St Stephens Green. Rooms are a good size, staff are friendly and there... more

We had a wonderful week in Ireland filled with touring Dublin, as well as the south and west coasts of Ireland (via train). The Schoolhouse lived up to our expectations. The customer service was outstanding throughout our stay. We flew overnight from NYC and got into Ireland around 9am. The Schoolhouse was able to get us a room by a... more

My husband were traveling with our daughter, her husband, our two grandchildren ages 15 and 10 and our niece who is a student at Queens in Belfast.. We arrived late morning and our rooms were ready and waiting for us. These rooms were absolutely perfect. Every staff member displayed a most professional and friendly manner, but they were not a... more

We came to Dublin for a wedding and stayed at the Schoolhouse. It exceeded all our expectations - the rooms, breakfast, and the pub - was a super stay. Seemed like the lounge / home to the professionals who lived in appartments nearby. Had a great feel about the place. Also the location - a walk to Dublin or Herbert... more
