This was a delight, great food, great pub and barkeeps, walking distance to most Dublin attractions. Best fish and chips I have ever had. room was very comfortable and the Irish breakfast served could not have been better.

Spent three nights at The Schoolhouse Hotel and really enjoyed my stay. Rooms are large and comfortable, beds are on the soft side but feel good after a long day of visits. Our bathroom was wallpapered with an old-fashioned design and had an old hardwood floor, which gave it an old-world charm with modern day convenience. Breakfast is generous and... More

This is an old schoolhouse converted into a hotel. Elegantly decorated, very nice rooms, quiet, good location to downtown, staff is very helpful and the food in the restaurant or tavern is excellent. You can't go wrong.

We were here for a wedding which this place does well and the day was fab. Therese and the team really looked after us; from the minute we arrived until we left (very late, we did not stay overnight). While photos were being taken (and after) we had our own little balcony to wait until dinner was served. This is... More

We recently spent a few nights at the hotel and enjoyed the repurposing of the building. The staff was friendly, breakfasrt was good and there was a very nice bar with a lovely outdoor space. The hotel is about a 15 minute walk from the busiest part of town but the hotel is situated in a mixed residential/commercial area so... More

This was my first stay in Dublin, and I had left it up to my travelling buddy to book a hotel. I was not disappointed. This is a small, clean, friendly hotel in the middle of a city. The staff were friendly and could not help us enough - even when we had a very early morning check out. After... More

We both started and ended our 3 week trip to ireland at the Schoolhouse Hotel and it was brilliant! The place was recommended to us by a friend from Dublin who thought we would like the place and the neighbourhood - well, she was right. The restaurant and bar are used by local people as well and that makes you... More

Having heard of the noise problems of staying close to the enter of town, I explored hotels a bit removed, but in walking distance, from the city center. The Schoolhouse Hotel intrigued me because it was a former schoolhouse converted into hotel rooms and had received good reviews on Trip Advisor. I'm so glad we chose to stay here. It's... More
